This is a great yacht. However I can't help seeing all that water on the foredeck. Is this how a cruising yacht should perform?

Shaun o'baile While most other 64 ft. yachts would have to return to port in those conditions, the HR 64 continues ahead with only the occasional green water coming over her decks. It is a minor inconvenience at best considering the conditions. Another reason you have to appreciate the fixed dodger and the water-tight air-only deck ventilators utilized in this model.

Alot. Dont know exactly in USD but its like 20 000 000 - 30 000 000 SWEDISH kronor if i remember right, the 55foot version is about 15 000 000 kronor. 1 USD is about 7 Kronor.

OnTheWay of course not boat speed! Lol. I’d guess they’re doing around 10 knots. A 50 knot wind is a Force 9 gale with lots of white water and wind blown spray, not just cresting waves (which start around 12 knots) - we’re talking storm conditions. And I doubt you would be sailing with the jib fully extended in those conditions! But it’s certainly a lively sail and likely 25 - 30 knots at least. Remember wind force is the square of the speed. So there’s a huge difference between 30 and 50 knots. Cheers

Jebb you are absolutely right. Germán Frers can't design boats. All those bluwater cruisers that he has designed like Nautor among others are crap. I recomend that you will contact these builders that have used his service trough the years and offer them your expertise. That would be a game changer for the industry.
