Oh, my understanding from the people posting their behind the scenes videos, the six takes were for the camera angles of the video and she sang flawless each time. But at 3am is something within it's self. Reminds me of her last time performing at Disney (Lion King song ) in that beautiful black gown.❤

For me, I love how much of her R&B background she brings to her vowels. It creates some auditory interest for me that takes it out of a transposition and really into making this version hers. I know a lot of people will prefer to sing her stylized version of the song going forward! BRAVO Halle!

Great review. You have a beautiful voice yourself! As for Ms. Bailey, she is just perfection. I think that the dress is what was meant to give the mermaid vibe as opposed to a tail, which would definitely be weird! 😂😂. I also believe that the bottom of the dress was supposed to be like the rock from the iconic scene where she belts out ‘Part of your world’!! I read that somewhere, and when you look at it, it makes sense!

Simone Simons the lead singer of the symphonic metal band Epica has done a nice cover of this. You haven't reacted to Epica yet. They will knock you out. Their ballad "Rivers" is beautiful or try "Consign to Oblivion" live at the Zenith for a contrast.

This was a very informative reaction. I've watched a few vocal coaches react to this and you have insight they didn't. Also, I appreciate that you were complementary, but gave a sincere review of her singing. There are some people who don't like the changes made to the original song, but I'm glad to hear you appreciated the updates for a modern audience!

@@sillyladtan well as a reaction junky and a stan of most of these reactions I watch, it gets frustrating when you watch someone react and they seem to skip over the “good” things about the artists themselves. Meaning to speak more on her and less on what she’s wearing the and the background. Also the excitement for the “key parts” doesn’t seem to be there all the time so it can come off a little bit “not genuine” or at times “hating”.
