She had to sing this six times, around 3 and 4 in the morning, freezing at the Disneyland park, im am amazed by Halle’s entire career and a huge fan of her and her sisters first mainstream album, the kids are alright, which they wrote. I’d love a reaction to that album, there’s a lot of ethereal songs on there. And periodt! Perfect casting, we all know it and that’s why they’re mad. Love this reaction!❤

I saw the original many times when it came out and I was 22 at the time. Part of Your World has always been my favorite song from the movie but I never cried until I heard Halle sing it. Cannot wait to see this adaptation! ❤🧜‍♀

I saw the movie with my family and it was 7of us on Sunday with my granddaughter who just turned 5yr old and it was beautiful we all loved every thing about the movie. My granddaughter loved the movie so much at the end of the movie she just got up from her seat, and started dancing and spinning around in the movie theate waw and we took pictures of her dancing and she told her mother as well as us how happy she was and that she loved the movie,and she told her mother she look like her Brown skin. And as soon i we got back home i Ordered her the Arielmermaide doll.That she will received in July thats when they can ship the dolls out.She will be so happy when she gets the doll Amen and also thank you Disney for this version of the new Ariel movie Amen.Thank you again.

I saw the movie yesterday and she’s definitely a chameleon actor she became Ariel. And don’t even get me started on her voice sis sung her face off. Acting wise she reminds me of Anya Taylor-Joy due to the fact that they make you feel what their characters are going through and singing wise she reminds me a little bit of Ms. Whitney Houston for obvious reasons.

I cannot wait to take my granddaughter to see this film!!! She is obsessed with The Little Mermaid! At 3yo she acts out this entire movie while she watches it. Which, and this will definitely age me, if the fact that I have a granddaughter didn't age me enough already, I used to do the very same thing as a child myself when the Disney animated film came out!! I drove my mother crazy watching it on repeat! Her favorite part is when Ariel is signing to Eric on the beach after she saves him. She will force us to pretend to be passed out while she sings over us. Lol, she is such a fun kid. She is so excited to see this movie. I am so glad other little girls who look nothing like me will now see themselves in this Ariel! She is an incredibly talented and beautiful young woman and she is going to rock this role! I love everything she is doing vocally in this performance! It is pure and lovely in every way possible! 💕 LOVE THIS REACTION AND YOUR COMMENTARY! I had a great time by watching it! I love very much the changes. I don't know if you have seen the movie Hege but here's my mind of about the movie with a few spoilers 😀 Read the rest of my message when you will see the movie 😀 I'm a boy and 'm proud to say that Ariel is my favorite Disney Princess! 😀 The CGI was beautiful and realistic even if like some people said it was not as realistic as Avatar 2: The Way Of Water, it was still gorgeous to me! The sea world was beautiful! Halle is stunning as Ariel, I loved so much her all look and her tail is stunning! 🧜‍♀💚 The other actors were awesome too! Jessica Alexander was amazing as Vanessa and she was stunning too! I love so much Vanessa! Vanessa is my favorite Disney villain!💜 I wished that we had a better detailed scene about Ursula transforming into Vanessa and same about Vanessa turning back to Ursula! The transforming purple/green Ursula's magic smoke is beautiful and well made but was a negative point for those transforming Vanessa's scenes for me but I understand, maybe the smoke was here in order do not scary children for the transformation, I'm sure it's the same for the third act of the movie when Ursula is giant! She could be scary for children too because her face changed in a monstruous look and could scare children. I love very much the fact that the relationship of Ariel and Eric is very well developped, I loved it very much! It was lovely. The end is very beautiful when we see King Triton saying goodbye to Ariel and when we see Ariel's sisters and the mermen and mermaids out of the water! The movie made 500 millions dollars the mondial box office so there is a big chance that we will have a sequel/prequel to the movie! I heard it's a prequel actually about Ursula and King Triton backstory! That would be awesome! 😀 We keep in touch about it Hege! 😀🧜‍♂🧜🧜‍♀

I think if Disney had had her sing this on American Idol FIRST and then announced her casting, there may not have been as loud of an uproar, or at least everyone would have jumped in to drown out the racists more. Nobody could watch this and doubt her casting. Disney is so secretive and stingy though. They gave a few sneak peeks with her in unflattering lighting singing riffs not in the original and people got to fill in the blanks with whatever they thought she was going to be like. That poor girl has been bullied relentlessly for months which I think Disney could have prevented.

Cannot stand her guttural sound when she sings free whatsoever. It takes me right out of the song. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it and some of the choices to standout from the original were really bad. I do love her voice and bet if she had stuck more to the original it been easier for her and nicer to listen to. She’s trying too hard in a lot of this.

She’s not trying to hard lol this song is easy for her, this version made so many people cry, myself included and it made me relate to Ariel more lol. This isn’t her trying. She sings harder songs than this.

She elevated level of the song. The original set the bar but it was basic and easy. Hailey's version it harder and more engaging. The original was lovely. The new version has definitely surpassed it.

She is conveying emotion when she sings this song. I think it's supposed to express anguish and frustration which makes perfect sense as she is feeling out of place in the ocean and wants to go to the above world. Nuance is a thing you know. Halle was encouraged to make the song her own while honoring the original. If the original lyricist/composer was moved by her performance WHO ARE YOU to say otherwise.
