It has NOTHING to do with Halle Berry (or Blake or anyone else) getting credit or how great you think they are. It has to do with contracts. As Halle says in this interview, it was written for another type of person and it makes sense that the writer or producer sent it out to actresses who matched the script. When a project is offered people are allowed a certain amount of time to read it and think about it and maybe see if it will fit into their schedule for the year, etc, etc. There are any number of reasons and time frames. Halle just needed to wait for Blake’s options and time to expire before she got her chance at it. It’s not personal or a statement on the value of a person, it’s just a contract and in this case, first right of refusal. I would guess that when it was offered to Blake they had no idea that Halle would be interested. She probably hadn’t even read it yet. Not messed up, not a personal attack, not a contest between Halle and Blake. Just business. Turning everything into a personal attack is a huge mistake. It blinds one to the truth of a situation or the reality around you.

It’s when they develop their ignorant stories with a victim mentality that I find not only incorrect but destructive. Getting others all upset when the premise is ignorant and wrong to begin with. Framing the situation from a victim point of view. On my channel (I ride a motorcycle) I recorded a car crash right in front of me. I made 4 video (33, 34, 35, 36) going over the footage and the original ride and walking through the crash scene in videos 33 and 34. In 35 I have a running commentary on the crash and how I got through it (one of the car’s wheels broke off and almost hit me) hoping to help other riders. 36 is just a short Crash Only video about 2 minutes long. I don’t think I even talk on it. Someone writes to me that I should have turned around and gone back to the crash to check on people. I told him that just because it’s not on KZbin does not mean it did not happen. As a matter of fact I did go back and talk as seen on 33 and 34. I guess that guy never heard of or did not understand how editing works. WIth this guy I noticed he was getting a lot of thumbs-up so I reposted and expanded my response to give a more fair chance for people to see it and understand that really it’s about contracts and giving people time to make a decision. Ironically professionals like Halle and Blake probably understand all this perfectly but it’s self-destructive victims like this guy who start fights. Take care,

As a fan of both rappers and Halle I think we need to learn to develop a more inclusive culture where we realize that all of these women can exist on same pedestal or same plane of existence. We need to stop tearing other women down and stop pitting them against each other. They are all worthy of the crown queen regardless of where they are in their career. Yes no one's career can be duplicated or recycled because we are all unique in our own right. We may choose our own paths, win our own accolades, but at the end of the end of the day we are still at the core women and men and everything else in between. We shouldn't be compared to one another because by design we are supposed to be different and in our differences there is perfection. Comparing one another only breeds hatred, insecurities, and envy which isn't needed. This is why we don't have enough female collabs anymore because of the toxicity involved.

Yes I know there’s place for every women, she could’ve say Cardi is a queen but I dont think it’s the right place to call her the queen of Rap! One day but not now!! It’s just like if someone call Nicki legendary I would disagree even though I’m a fan of hers, yes she’s a queen after she’s a icon working to be a legend in couple years. Being a Type One Diabetic has also been a blessing in disguise for Halle. It FORCES her to take care of herself every single day. Watching every morsel of food that goes in her mouth to maintaining a busy exercise schedule to keep her weight from going over. This is the reason why she looks SO DAMN GOOD ! Years and decades of watching herself. It certainly didn't come easily. Not one bit. But damn, look at the results !
