“Trying with the obvious uncertainty”, Hallease thank you for making this. These words mean a lot to me as a freshman in college who’s wondering if the stress of exams in a major I’m unsure about is even worth it ! Sometimes i miss how sure of my self I was when I had a clear goal of college. Now that I’m here for the first time in my life I’m completely unsure of my future, but I am trying. Thank you for reminding me that that matters too.

As a woman with an MBA struggling with 6 months of unemployment I cannot feel this video harder. I'm leaning hard on my resources and loved ones. Trying to keep the faith alive that the right job is out there for me. Then the depression kicks in and showering or washing a single dish becomes a miracle. *sigh* Gotta hang in there to get to the other side. This is temporary - not my permanent life.

Living with uncertainty...is natural. Since life does keep moving forward I found by trying, growing & learning...I am finding joy in each season of my life. At 49, I look back at much of my life I thought made me who I am. I woke up asking is that really you girl? Simple answer "I don't know" and deeper answer " I don't know". I'm on a new journey and I don't know where it's going to take me, but I sure am going to take all my mistakes, failures and lessons learned and "Rock" my next 50 years. Thank you for sharing 🌻

This video came at the perfect time for me. I’ve been feeling the same way lately. I’m a freelancer and some things and clients don’t work out. And when people ask me what the hell I’m doing, I always feel like I have to give them this finite answer when in reality I don’t know for sure what will happen in the next years. I just try my best and see what happens. It’s okay to not know and I’m glad someone can relate to that feeling of uncertainty but being able to accept that.

Yes. This is what life is about! Uncertainty. We can put so much into anything we want, and never know for sure whether it’ll have success. I totally feel and relate to this video.

This video is definitely helpful. When I tell you I JUST came from therapy and ended with how uncomfortable I feel in myself and in my life right now. And unsettled. Because I have a lot of “idk’s” circling me. This was needed. It’s okay to live in uncertainty. In fact that’s all we’re doing. Anyway. Thank you for this video.

I appreciate hearing these thoughts on uncertainty! I've been on my own journey to accepting that I can't know everything. Growing up, everything from church to school to home felt like I needed to be certain of everything in order to measure up. I read a book called Learning to Walk to in the Dark by Barbara Brown Taylor that was a refreshing embrace of mystery within the Christian faith. Trying to be certain stressed my out, made me controlling. Love your words about trying being what we enjoy in life.

I found this simultaneously disturbing, inspiring and comforting. Since I have have always attached shame to the feeling and fact of, "I don't know." It feels like I should know and I have a very hard time accepting that, well, "I don't know." I don't know my purpose, I have interest in many things and I don't know what I will do next. I do know, that I'm not alone and am slowly accepting that it's okay to fail, or to not know but most importantly I'll be ok. Thanks Hallese. Also you have the most calming and reassuring voice.

**tears** Thank you so much for this. Gosh... I feel like I was raised to think that "I don't know" means anti-faith/cursing life (aka, a taboo phrase, as you mentioned). But, no. It is a reality, but I am trying. And Trying is okay. I think Star Wars Yoda made "trying" a bad word or something (do or do not, there is no try) **rolls eyes**. Thank you for reminding me that "I don't know" is okay. I've even learned this in my graduate schooling, and it has helped in that setting too.
