I was wishing for this for years! Used to sing alto in church and knew the part a million yrs back, but forgot so much and can't properly sight read. THANK YOU!

After 40 + years of the Soprano part, I am needed on Alto. Easter is early this year and this version has a great tempo to practice with!

Thank you for making this and taking it at a slower tempo. I can clearly hear the 16th notes. I learned soprano on this and have sung it that way for years, so this is really helping me wrap my brain around the alto part. Your sound is bright, but don't worry about that. Baroque Period music is normally sung without much vibrato. Too many quick notes to have too much of a heavy voice. You have a lovely tone and so do the rest of the singers in the background.

Thank you for singing the first alto portion! I've been looking for this part. I actually like the brightness of your voice because it's similar to mine and makes it a tad easier to follow along. :) Thanks!

In Measure 79, remember we sing a perfect fourth from d down to a on the words he shall. We come from an a previous measure and we go right back to an a after singing the d.

At 3:27, that part is wrong. It’s “King of kings, forever and ever. And lord of lords, hallelujah hallelujah” for the alto part. That’s how I remember hearing that part when doing this song for my holiday concerts in school. 🤷🏼♀️
@wasupdoc17385 жыл бұрын
There is an error with the last king of kings (forever and ever) and lord of lords (hallelujah hallelujah) part. Altos don't sing the King of kings part but only the basses and tenors with the tenors holding the last King and lord respectively whilst the basses join the sopranos and altos in the answer "forever and ever" and "hallelujah hallelujah" respectively. Apart from that and another error it was a great effort

This is wonderful! There is one discrepancy though. In measure #76 different words are sung than written.

Thank you! Sung very nicely. But here and there not exactly as it is written.;)(But that could be my sheetmusic, because I have the Latin version)
