My father who has pass on introduced me to this version of Hallelujah in his car that had an excellent sound system and I loved it it so much. Now that he is good every time I hear it I think of him and the good he did with his life. despite his challenges. I am glad we made up and forgave each other. before he passed away. @@teganbigone2366 couldn't agree more. Different version? Absolutely! Best version? NOT A CHANCE!!! Do you know the history? This song was part of a much larger sacred work called The Messiah. It was meant to show honor and respect to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. It was not meant to sound like Soul Train or American Bandstand. Can you see George Handel, the author of this work dance in front of King George for whom this work premiered? I bet he would have been hung for heresy.
