I wished you would have shown how to work the two dials. I have an SX 110 but I have trouble figuring out how to use the two dials.

I have one I purchased in the late 80's.What do you use for a speaker and antenna?

An outboard audio DSP will make that sound like a ic756pro

1:35 -- "There we go..." a station at about 10 WPM. I have a Hallicrafters SX-110 and two SX-42's; great radios. By the way, I'm one of the "physically fit" hams. Ed, KI6DCB

That was my first ham receiver. When I first saw it in a window of a store on "Radio Row" in NYC (when it was still there), I drooled for that receiver and I was lucky that my parents gave me one for Christmas. That was in 1962. I own more modern equipment now, but I still think that receiver was beautiful, adequate and fun to use. I was never that fond of ham band only receivers or transceivers because I still like do SWLing. - Jim, WA2WHV

I used to have one of these, bought new in 1960. It was a nice radio and complimented my Heathkit DX-40 transmitter.

what does the antenna trim control do ? Is it like an antenna tuner?

In a sense you are correct, it helps in getting a slightly better match

Its not that hard to get the dial to align up with the frequency..adjust C19 or L7 ...that is the way I understand it...for band 4. Hope this helps...that is a very cool radio...thanks for sharing.
