Nice! Also the only ones called jingle Pals are the dog and snowman with the green hat. They are called jingle pals because they sing jingle bells and shake at different parts in the song, whereas the rest of the snowmen (including the 2003 Caroling snowmen couple) don't do that. They all have different names. I just wanted to mention that.

Sometimes I'm able to replace the battery ends and it will work. (not always). Enjoy learning from your videos. I've been whacking them on the back when they didn't work. I see from the video pushing up and down is much better. From your video I learned what is needed to fix the Man and the Woman. So far the man is now working.

Great thank you for your comment. I looked on your channel as well. You have quite the collection of little animatronic toys. Love them. Thanks again. 😊

Do you fix these for people?
@mikecomptech21 күн бұрын
No sorry I do not. This is something I like to do, is fix items like this and to share my information with others. If you have one that's not working try to fix it yourself very rewarding if you do succeed. Thanks for your question.

I can fix this kind of stuff. Battery rust/corrosion

I looked at your YT channel lots of cool animatronics. What is your method for the repair of the corrosion? If the damage is not too bad I clean the contacts with white vinegar works very well. Thank you for your comment.
@Gooberanimatronicsinstorevids16 күн бұрын
@ I do the painful way, but it’s actually the easiest way for me. I use a small screwdriver and scrape the contacts
@mikecomptech16 күн бұрын
@@Gooberanimatronicsinstorevids Yes done that many times as well the screwdriver method. Like I said if they are not really bad then a Q-tip dipped in white vinegar that will clean off a lot of the corrosion and oxidation, and will neutralize the battery chemistry. And it will get into small areas you can't get with just scraping.

@@mikecomptech yes I’ve done that before if its really bad like rust but I usually just used a screwdriver

i have this one. it works, kinda. but it has some problems. the audio works perfectly fine. nothing wrong with that. but many years ago, sometime in the early-mid 2010’s, the snow woman stopped moving every time she sang. i think i’ve tried to move her side to side and bob her up and down to see if that would fix it. at least, i think ive done this?🤔it’s been a long time since she broke. then, many years later, (mid or late 2010’s) the snowman broke. he doesn’t move anymore either. i believe? it’s been a while since we put batteries in them. now only the audio works on them and they don’t move at all lol. it’s so weird looking 😂it’s sad though. again, i think i mightve tried that bobbing method before on him as well but idk. i really don’t remember. one day i would like to try to fix them. somehow. but there’s a problem. i haven’t repaired any kind of electronic in my life. i don’t have any repair experience, BUT i really do want to learn how to repair electronics. now, the reason why my snowmen’s motors (maybe) broke, is NOT because they had sat for a while without being used. nope. we actually played with them a lot when my sister and i were kids. so like, that toy was used a lot lol. i think their movements are broken from wear so the manual moving/bobbing method is probably not going to fix that problem. i’m so afraid to take them apart though lol. or anything for that matter

I enjoyed your story. I can understand your situation you have a sedimental attachment to these and you would hate to do anything to them. Can you hear a motor running in either of the man or woman? If you do probably the belt is slipping, they do stretch over the years. Or it could be grease in the motor brushes, like the piano snowman I fixed. But you have to start somewhere so maybe you should give it a try, very rewarding if you succeed but that is a decision you will have to make. Thank you for your story and comment. 😀

@@mikecomptech yeah, that’s exactly it there. and also i’ve never repaired any electronic before so i don’t even know where or how to start lol. hmmm, well, it’s been a while since we’ve put batteries in them. but, if i remember correctly, i don’t think i heard anything trying to move?🤔i don’t know, i really don’t know. i will have to put batteries in them again and see if i can hear anything and see how they are doing. i’m not sure when i’ll do that though 🤔wait but i have a question. so, the snow woman’s movements broke many years before the snowman’s movements broke. like 5+ years or maybe even longer than that. so i’m not sure if it’s a motor grease issue because obviously the 2 can’t be separated lol. i’m not sure why 1 would wear out before the other
