Can i use craft glue instead to do the lollipops? Or does it have to be a glue gun?

I think hot glue just sets up quicker. Other glues I believe will need to have some thing holding the noodle in place or it will naturally just come undone. If you're worried about a glue eating away the pool noodle, well give it a try and if it eats it, you're out about 25 cents.
