Yes!!! Halloween, this film made my love for the Horror genre skyrocket!! Like you said, there’s so many great things about this film. The score, the story, the characters, the atmosphere, etc, etc. One of my favorite parts is when Laurie’s against the wall crying and slowly you can see Michael appear out of the darkness! Visually, it’s just friggin amazing!! I would have loved to see what Peter Cushing or Christopher Lee would have done with the role of Dr. Loomis. Robert England (Freddy Kruger) was helping to spread the leaves all around, so California would look like a midwestern town in the fall. It was one of his first jobs. I’m a big John Carpenter fan and the suspense he created in this film, would carry over into his films like The Thing. As far as the sequels. Halloween 2 was alright. I think Rob made a backstory about Michael because he didn’t want to copy Carpenter’s movie. It wasn’t bad. Tyler Mane was definitely the most menacing Michael Meyers. The 2nd Halloween from Zombie I didn’t get. The dream, the white horse?? Halloween Ends, big disappointment. I know you can’t please everybody, but to regulate Michael Myers to a cameo? They had to know that they were going to piss people off. One thing is for sure. You can’t deny that Halloween was a great inspiration for the Horror genre!! Great stuff!! Can’t wait for your next video!!

The shit of Michael's mask slowly appearing from the dark behind Laurie is also one of my favourite shots in the film! I'll definitely be getting to more John Carpenter films in this series! I actually love Halloween 2 and watching it as a double bill with the original is a great experience! As for Rob Zombie, I think the less that is said the better. Making a whole back story for Michael the way he did was just terrible in my opinion. Ruins a massive aspect of Michael's character too. I've missed a day with the videos but I will certainly catch up! You can definitely expect the new video tomorrow!

Totally worth the wait, Liam! Great episode on the iconic Halloween! I met Irwin Yablans many years ago at a Halloween screening. He is a very cool guy. He had a great career at Paramount Pictures before forming Compass International Pictures in 1976 before producing Halloween in 1978. Irwin is still alive at 89 years old. Again, great episode, Liam!

i too was 4 yo when i went to the drive in theater to see the halloween movie but it was in 1978 and all i can remember were glimpse of the movie, but one of the glimpse was that of the iconic ducking behind the hedge scene, it both frightened and intrigued me and i been a horror movie fan ever since, true story

This is the only one of the franchise I've seen - I've been so completely satisfied with it that I've never felt the urge to watch any of the others... ;)
