I remember seeing Halloween 3 and A Nightmare on Elm Street on TV, Halloween 1988. I'd only just turned 8. Thought I was being grown up but all I did was scare myself silly! 😂😂😂 I digress.... These sets are so well put together. What a fantastic gift!

@@millerman9991 I must say the only film that ever really scared me as a kid was Stephen Kings IT that was the only thing that scared me really but one of my favourite nightmare on Elm Street films out of the whole set and I don’t know who will agree with me on this was Freddie‘s dead proper good film that I’ve got the DVD set that still has the 3-D glasses as well

Honestly Conor if I don't watch Halloween 3 and the Fog at least 3 or 4 times a year I feel like I've done something wrong. That's how much I love them. So any deluxe edition of Halloween 3 or part 2 will always be welcome in my collection. A huge thank you once again Conor. I couldn't be happier

I would have to agree with you. Don't get me wrong Halloween 2 is up there as well. Very hard to separate part 2 and 3 at times but I have to be true to myself I do watch part 3 more often

I have Halloween II Via Vision blu ray. Indeed Keith it's great to have the Television cut of it mastered. When I go to my retailer again I'm definitely grabbing Halloween III - and yes I fully agree, III was terrific!

Halloween 2 is my favourite horror sequel also, Keith. Was tricked into watching it as a kid on Halloween night with my cousin after he sold it to me as a comedy (because I was terrified of Halloween 1). By the time I realised, it was too late and I was locked in the room and made watch it with the family😂 just fell in love with it as time went on then Seen season of the witch a short while after and wondered where Michael was (as I was still young and didn’t realise he wasn’t supposed to be in it) but was bet into it by half way through that I forgot he wasn’t even in it. Loved it also !

Halloween 1 2 and 3 are part of my Halloween tradition. Even when I was younger I would always go out to trick or treating and come back and watch all three of those movies. Nothing has changed since then. Well except the trick-or-treating 😂😂. I wasn't necessarily tricked into watching it like yourself. I was always a fan of the original. It took me a few years to get around to parts 2 and 3.

And then by the time I hit my teens, I was obsessed with 60’s - 90’s horror movies and have been building a collection since. 1&2 remain a Halloween tradition for me every year for a very long time now, wouldn’t have it any other way pal!

(I understand the 2nd one starts straight after the first and is a direct sequel whilst the 3rd one is more of a separate anthology movie...but I've heard both are very good from multiple sources now).

I would do absolutely anything to be in your shoes right now tiger. To be actually able to see Halloween 2 and 3 for the first time again. I can't help but feel envious. I really do hope you give them a go because they are such wonderful sequels. I treat Halloween 1 and 2 as one movie. I could never watch Halloween and not watch the second one. I even got the via vision Rob Zombie collection as well because they had the theatrical cuts as well not that I was a massive fan on the first one was okay though what your opinion on that Keith Rob zombie films?

Honestly Ryan I cannot stand the movies. Rob zombie's Halloween 1 and 2 are the only Halloween Editions that I own one copy of each. They never felt like Halloween movies to me

Hi Keith! Great video, as always! I enjoy all of the videos that you produce, primarily because the “true” fan’s enthusiasm shines through every time. I just add something that may be of interest to those outside of region B, and may not be familiar with ViaVision. It’s been my experience, that despite being listed as B, they have ALL been region FREE! Now, the Halloween film may be the exception here, but I would doubt that. There has also been a HACK for Panasonic 4K players. It worked perfectly on my UB820. It allows you to play ANY region disc, without any hardware overrides. Insert the disc. When it reaches the “cannot play, as there’s a region mismatch (not entirely accurate..lol.) as soon as that appears, hit STOP. Then proceed to tap ‘Top Menu’ a few times,and your disc *should* boot right up. Maybe I’m REALLY late on this news, but it was new to me, just a few days ago. That would help a lot of people solve this silly region issue anyway. Anyway, I hope this info helps a fellow collector! Thanks again, Keith! Keep going!!

There was already a comment tonight where somebody said they would love to buy them but unfortunately they were region locked. I will make sure to let them about this comment. As for the hack for the Panasonic player it was actually given to me a year ago but I could never get it to work. I know it does work because I've had friends that it worked for but for some strange reason I could not get it to do it for me. Unfortunately I don't have the player anymore so I can't try again. Finally you have it now Keith, no thanks to customs. These are two stunning looking additions, Connors generosity is unreal. Two fantastic movies and you have the TV cut thrown in for good measure. Talking of Halloween III, Keith, they have almost demolished the Silver Shamrock building, but you can actually buy A brick from the building online for $5 + post and packaging, just in case you are interested. Great video Keith, and Tom Atkins will always be the man. Oh Yeah.

Actually like Umbrella Entertainment a lot of their movies are region free and work in US players and others around the globe I think they have to put Region B on the box because Australia is a Region B Territory I think it is something to do with Licensing

Hi Keith, Great editions of both movies, particularly the third film. It does slightly niggle at me that Halloween 3 was not very well received such was the demand for more Michael Myers. I would love to have seen the direction this franchise would have taken if each film focussed on a specific Halloween theme, the possibilities are almost endless. Great video as always.

Thankfully it has grown a monstrous cult Following and rightfully so but you can't help but wonder what it would have been like. I have a trip to the States planned later this year, and I'm hoping to pick up the Scream Factory 4Ks of Halloween 1-3. Also, I'm curious to know if, on those releases where you own several different formats of the film, you ever choose to watch the DVD or blu ray, or do you always go for the 4K if you have it?

That's actually a very good question Steve. I go through all three formats believe it or not. Whenever I'm in bed and I'm in the mood to watch Halloween I would knock on the DVD. If I want to watch the television version for Halloween 2 now I have the Blu-ray. But 9 out of 10 times I will always go to the 4K because it is easily the best way to view the movies. It's not just the picture quality but the sound is absolutely extraordinary as well. You'll know yourself soon enough when you pick them up

@@millerman9991 totally agree about the sound, Keith. The picture difference between blu ray and 4K is sometimes minimal, although HDR makes a big difference IMHO, but a Dolby Atmos soundtrack? It's a brand new watching experience. As always, loving the content and viewing through, occasionally, very green eyes!

@Steve_281 I have said it so many times in my videos but I think if you didn't have HDR or Dolby vision then 4K would be pointless. Having said that the first five Halloween movies on 4k really do look quite amazing. Especially when you see parts 4 and 5. That is a true Night and Day difference over the blu rays. Keith, I’m being honest with you mate. Just to let you know, in case you’re not aware already Halloween 2 the television Cut on Blu-ray is a very bad picture. Brother in my opinion it actually looks better on the standard edition. Let me know what you think when you actually watch it or if you haven’t already checked it out.

Yeah it's basically upscaled onto Blu-ray. I wasn't expecting anything in terms of picture quality. Tell you the truth I probably won't even watch it because I'm not a fan of the television cut but I desperately wanted a Blu-ray version of it nonetheless

Corchran also said "shur they're lovely editions aren't they?" I do really like they have lenticulars of the original artworks and how they used alot of random artworks, especially on Halloween 2. No surprise with those clowns at customs, the Irish government couldn't organise a raffle. Its probably the greens in charge of customs 😂 and probably horribly understaffed like other major departments.
