Woohoo! My theme got its time in the... well not sun. Moon, perhaps. We're walking down the aisle on the 21st of October. Things we're doing: - audio guestbook with an old-fashioned telephone so voices of the past can wish us well our whole marriage through, even after those loved ones have passed - cornucopiae of candy for centrepieces; each table has a different kind of candy, so if you don't like the kind at your table, you have to trick or treat and meet the other guests - my wedding dress is black, of course, but so are my little wrist-length gloves for a dainty gothic ingenue look (hey, I'm thirty-three, this is my last chance to look young and innocent), and I'm wearing a capelet of black feathers. My lipstick is dark, dark purple, and I'm probably wearing socks most of the night, but I do have a pair of black flats for the ceremony itself. Haven't decided on how to do my nails - most likely something moon-themed. - the husband is going to be in a navy blue tuxedo with black lapels and a raven feather bowtie and boutonniere set. Our friends (including my maid of honour) are going to be in black tuxes with black bowties with a white floral pattern that looks rather ghostly - our signature drinks menu is going to be one of those little coffin-shaped letterboards - our photobooth is our welcome sign, with a grey-and-black damask pattern for the backdrop and armchairs that the hotel is willing to move down the hall - you inspired me to give the venue a signature scent, but it's a massive grand ballroom, so instead of a diffuser I'm going to spritz some febreeze off the balcony above the dancefloor before people start coming in. Haven't decided the scent yet - probably something with a bonfire or apple pie vibe. Tempted to do something similar with the bathroom soap. - I'm walking down the aisle to Patient Is The Night from Over the Garden Wall - we haven't decided what song our first dance is going to be to, but I favour Dance Me To The End of Love by Leonard Cohen - I'm going to ask our baker to do a little something Halloweenie with our dessert table - even if it's just piping black spiderwebs on the cupcakes Unrelated: I had a more general idea for a way to make a budget wedding feel luxe. What are your thoughts on buying one or two of those sample sets of travel-sized perfume and putting a self-serve mini perfume counter in the ladies' room? I can see arguments for and against, but I'd be interested to know if anyone else has had this idea that you're aware of.

I could see the skulls from this video working well, but you'd also need swords. (And maybe dogs, cows, Barbie dolls, and/or soup.) I'd be interested in what your outfit takes would be, since half the main romantic relationship is a butch lesbian while the jury's out on if the other half is butch or femme.

I would stay away from forms of Divination unless you are a practitioner. Tarot and otger forms of Divination have meanings and they really shouldn't be used just for entertainment. It makes it hard for practitioners to be taken seriously when Divination is exploited in pop culture
