This is one of my fave holidays. I'm glad to see England is embracing it now, when I was a kid there was hardly anything for Halloween.

I'm so with you on that, lovely! I remember my Mum & Dad taking me to Party supply shops - they were the only places that had anything really. ♡ i hope you can enjoy all the spooky good stuff over the weekend ahead! Lots of love Qxxx

What an amazing shop Miss Q. Couldn't believe it when we saw those ceramic ghosts wearing the swishy gowns, the ones in different sizes. There's a shop in York called The Ghost Merchants, and people queue along the street to get in. Their ceramic ghosts are very much like the ones in Flying Tiger, except the prices are much higher. xxx

For most of my life Halloween decor was spooky, but friendly at the same time. For example, the faces on the Jack-o-lanterns pretty much always had a charming and friendly smile. I miss those types of products! The mean looking faces in some of the products now and overly gory products without even a bit of a sense of humor makes me want to skip the holiday all together. Anyway, this is just a personal sentiment and maybe this is just a thing in the U.S. As always, love your videos Queenie. Thank you for sharing this with us! 🙌✨

@paolabueso I think it really depends where you go to shop. I was at John Lewis today, and I think I might have purchased something whixh contains the friendliness and whimsy you described so well. :) I had the cutest little light up pumpkin with a sweet camper like face when I was little. She twinkled, and I took her trick or treating every year. I'm pretty keen on the sort of enchanted element of halloween myself. ♡ Thank you so much for watching! Qxxx

@@QueenieofLondonThank you for your sweet comment Queenie! Your videos are always a bright spot on the internet. I corrected my comment, because I think what I’m referring to is more of a U.S. thing at the moment. Anyway, thank you for sharing all of your wonderful videos with us! Lovely stuff always. Take good care! 💖🙌✨

So many fun and spooky Halloween treasures 🎃 The lilac ghosts, would be on the top of my list, I would need a couple👻💜💜💜 I collect black cat decor for Halloween 🐈⬛🐈⬛ I’ve had two precious black kitties over the years, I love to remember them, especially at Halloween 🐈⬛🐈⬛🧡

Aww, Lisa, that's a truly lovely idea. I love black cats - they're incredibly special. I bet your furry friends would be so happy to know you were collecting in their memory. The purple ghosts are very cool - they look great with the balcony decor around them. I've seen that there is a lot of pastel going on in the good old USA for Halloween this year! Happy Friday, and i hope you have a great weekend ahead, love! Qxxx

When I was a kid in Yorkshire in the 70s we had nothing at Halloween…my mum would give me a turnip and a spoon to carve it with. Have you ever tried to carve a turnip with a spoon? Took me piggin weeks! Mum was insistent it was all character building and it’s the reason why I’m such a determined little person today! Ha! Oh …we did have eggs to throw at peoples houses… there were no treats… so we went straight in for the tricks.
