Shops, Sights, Tricks & Treats - A Halloween in London Vlog!

Great video Queenie, loved all of your fantastic animated display witchy house’s & all the other decorations, you’ve done a fantastic job. I’m 74 so Halloween wasn’t a big deal in the 50/60’s, we did a bit of Apple bobbing, trying to peel an apple so the skin stayed in one piece & tossed it over your shoulder so you’d get the initial of the one you would marry, I always got an S & being that I met 1967 & married Steve in 1969 I suppose it was right, married for 55yrs now, also stood in front of a mirror at midnight with a candle looking for faces behind us😂😂. Bonfire Night was always the big one for us, that’s when we got up to mischief, went out with a homemade Guy in an old trolley doing penny for the Guy, even back gates went missing for bonfires, lots of treacle toffee, toffee apples, Parkin, baked potatoes covered in bonfire soot & soaked with butter the charcoal always tasted great though, sausages & a great big pan of potato pie with red cabbage, all great fun & lots of fog from the bonfires the next day, no organised bonfires then, lots of fireworks & penny banger’s & the dreaded ripraps!🎃🎃👻👻💀💀🎃🎃

The Bonfire nights sound like they were amazing - your descriptions of the food made my mouth water! My gosh, how brilliant and atmospheric. Great video! As always love your enthusiasm! Well done on the spooky decorated desk! We are the only house which is decorated on our street and for Swiss standards (Halloween not being hugely popular), we might have gone too scary as some children ran past the house not wanting any of the treats 😂 👻🎃 Happy Halloween every one!🎃👻

What a splendidly spooktacular vlog for Samhain eve Miss Queenie. Thumbs up from the frogs in the palace, somebody must have put a spell on us. Annabelle's looked amazing, I might have to dig out my Lady Annabelle Goldsmith memoirs. I think that with all that building work going on in the square, it will be many a long night before we hear a nightingale singing. M&S looked rather bare, not impressed with them. Loved QM's amazing village, she never lets us down. xxx

I didn't know Florence did performances in Berkeley Sqiare! What a woman - nursing and providing choral delights to the sophisticates of Mayfair - well HEALED indeed! 😀 Seeing as the King's Road section of this video was filmed on Halloween Eve, I'm not surprised M&S shelves looked a little bare! I even had to insert footage from High Street Ken because all the pumpkins were gone! Nice to see that the SPIRIT of the spooky season is alive and well! Think Madame over at Annabel's was the best Halloween display I've seen there. What imagination! I bought a bag of the Nerd's Candy Corns. They were really good if you like fruity/sour candy, which I do! Went back to Walmart to get that second bag of the season.
