Hope you're back soon, I REALLY LIKE your builds. The Final Faction / Krampus Figure was one of the first things I found, when I was looking to get into mini-painting , kit bashing and terrain building.

Great work! So the issue with white, yellow and orange acrylic paint (red sometimes as well) is that black base coats shows up REALLY well. Sometimes the black under coat will tint the yellows to green Next time, hit it with a coat of white primer or a couple coats of white acrylic. Lighter tans work well as an under coat for oranges. When in doubt, grab some scrap and test your paints before you paint your craft
@kgoblin50849 ай бұрын
I came down into the comments to say the same thing, but would actually recommend a nice, thick coat of dark brown instead - will maintain the 'dark shadows' effect you get with a black foundation, but without tainting the over-coat. Should work especially well with orange in particular, because for those that don't know brown is kind of an odd-ball color & technically just dark orange. You can also use the technique deliberately to introduce interesting effects... ala black + yellow to get a deliberately splotchy green; or yellow over green for a cooler paint scheme, or yellow over red for a warmer paint scheme

Loved it! Paint orange over black is a pain. I usually try to paint with different color (brown) and then Yellow, but the result changes a lot depending of the brand of paint and the material... not a favourite color to paint.

Fun build and fun video! Dollar store mini-pumpkins have their own set of crafting challenges, as I am currently learning the hard way. You should go buy as many kinds of toothpicks as are available! And happy Halloween.

Awesome video as always! Perhaps you could try painting the orange parts with a burnt sienna as a base coat instead of black since orange and yellow have notoriously bad coverage compared to other colours. Hope you had an awesome Halloween!

Happy Halloween, my friend... Army Painter paints and washes are a little spendy, but they're cheaper than Citadel, at least. Have ya tried the Speedpaint metallics yet? I think they work a treat... so far I'm up to Aztec Gold, Enchanted Steel, Hoplite Gold and Broadsword Silver. And talking of the Speedpaint 2.0 range, I need to get a bottle of Princess Pink.
@brokenterrain10 ай бұрын
I need to get my hands on them. A fella at work also using them and we express our love for the speed paints all the time. He's also mentioned the metallics.

@@brokenterrain They work a treat... I've been making my own "Figurines Of Wondrous Power" out of those mini-figs from the Dollar Tree... turned a Justice League Shazam! into "The Pirate King's Token" with a cutlass and bicorne-hat from a LEGO SpongeBob.

Hi there Broken Terrain! I like how life-like your diorama sets look with the fine detail and all. Do you happen to have an email where i could reach you? I would love to get your expertise on a diorama myself of the fireplace from the haunting (1999) movie. That if which I'm currently working on thanks! 🙏💯🎨
