HALLOWEEN REVENGE (Fan Film)

It's been 1 year since the Return of The Boogeyman from his 40 year slumber. And exactly 1 year after the events of Halloween Returns. Of course during that period of time, Myers was kept in the Smiths Groves Sanitarium, but just before his transfer to Ridgemont Federal, he managed to awake. But even after his comeback, and his takings of 5 students and a single officer. Myers was not the only one that managed to survive Halloween night of 2018. So did one other person. And from all that had happened, the authorities were left with no other option, but to give her an alternate identity and place her in a city not to far from home. A little city known as HaddonHeights. It's a wonder if someone will find her?

But, for our Timeline, This is what you're seeing Halloween (Released In 1978) Halloween II (Released In 1981) - Takes place the same night as the first film in the year 78' 40 years later Halloween Returns (Released In 2019) takes place in 2018, 40 years after the events of Halloween & Halloween II Halloween Revenge (Released In 2021) takes place 1 year after Halloween Returns, in the year 2019.

Fantastic! Absolutely fantastic! The first one was great and I love the twist where Sophia survived as I was expecting Ana to survive as she had typical traits that made her a final girl while Sophia had traits that would've gotten her killed. The twist of Sophia playing dead was great, something I always wondered if it would work in a slasher. The ending was very unique with Michael falling into the water instead. This is great I hope it keeps going. Will there be another sequel to this?

It’s a decent film. I just think some scenes were very slow and dragging along which made certain parts boring, and the actors could have been more realistic, but Michael was played well. this really is fantastic. the pumpkin dripping blood in the opening credits was a nice touch. the anguish that the girl was feeling because of her stomach wound was acted well enough that it felt realistic without feeling overwrought. i like the blackmailing element, as well as the stalking Michael. overall really good

Has anybody ever bothered you guys about licensing for Halloween or Michael? Are you able to monetize a fan film? Great production, just wondering how it works for fan films and all the effort that goes into them.

That’s honestly quite a superb question. I would imagine some of the bigger productions on KZbin that are still fan film oriented have dabbled into funding. And monetization, of course. But when it comes to copyright, that can be a forever fluctuating problem. The rights always change. I would actually like to learn more myself, but we are more into the production side of things rather than the marketing. For us, we are just a bunch of passionate people. We have Limited resources. Limited availability. But it’s all in the execution and the preparation. Find people as passionate as you are. Make sure all are multi talented. And make sure it’s collaborative. It’s not easy. It requires a lot of people. At least five with good heads on their shoulders. But once you’ve landed a good core of at least five people. Everything else becomes easier.

So in the first film titled Halloween Returns, we hear on the broadcast at the end that Michael has escaped and that there was a survivor who suffered multiple stab wounds, Sophia Cortot who is the female protagonist in this film. She goes by Mia Castle In this film after getting an alias alteration following the horrific events. This film takes place one year after the events of the first film. Sophia A.K.A Mia Castle, now lives in Haddonheights trying to live a normal life but suffers from PTSD including hallucinations of Michael wherever she goes. Officer Brian Wilkens was the first responding officer to the butcherings that took place in the first film, his partner was among the deceased. He helped Sophia relocate and get the name change. He also suffers from guilt over his partners death and feels obligated to protect Sophia. Matthew Tramer is an independent news broadcast journalist who has an obsession with Michael Myers. He finds Sophias location and the fake name she goes by and wants to do an interview about the night she lost her friends and survived Michaels attack. He threatens to leak her information to the world if she doesn’t do the interview, to both Officer Wilkens and Sophia. He travels to Haddonheights but stops along the way where he has a non confrontational run in with Myers. Myers sneaks into Tramers car which ultimately leads him right to Sophia. Wilkens travels to Sophias location to stop Tramer from having any contact with Sophia. After the events of the first film, Michael was laying low around Lampkin Parkway, a large forested trail surrounding the area, dogs were found butchered yet no sightings of Myers were ever reported. He waited in Lampkin for a year til Halloween to rain terror once more. Hope this helps! There’s also information for the plot in the description box! 😁

Ya, so it’s got a lot of information to handle upon watching it the first time. Definitely a type of film you have to watch more than once. But the film follows one of the females that survived the events of the previous film (Halloween Returns). In reference to the timeline, Halloween Returns is a film that takes place 40 years after the murders of 1978 from the first two films. Halloween (1978) & Halloween 2 (1981). Myers had been found burned near to death after the events of Halloween 2, and was rushed to the hospital for immediate medical attention. 40 years later, being kept safe and sound at Smiths Groves Sanitarium, the monster had awoke yet again to reign his bloody massacre over the town of Haddonfield once more. So this is where Halloween Returns takes place. (In the year 2018, 40 years after the 1978 murders.) Halloween Revenge however, takes place 1 year after Halloween Returns (the year is 2019) and follows the girl who didn’t die the murderous bloodbath of the previous film. We now get to see what life is like in her new home of Haddonheights, only located a couple hours from Haddonfield. She moved because of the trauma and had figured she had nothing left in Haddonfield to keep her there. With the escape of Myers from the previous events, she wanted nothing more but to get away from it all. The summary of the story above is perfect 👍 Just adding some details for the timeline with the actual Halloween films.

Here are my thoughts on Halloween revenge: The good stuff.. I like that you showed how Sophia still suffers from trauma since surviving the events of the last movie The Acting was great as always and actually felt believable I liked that the movie explored the themes of greedy journalism with Tramer's character who will do anything to get the full story on what happened to Sophia and her friends at the Halloween party despite her not wanting it to go public The stuff I didn't like.. The part where Sophia agrees to go to the Halloween party felt out of character especially after she lost her friends at a Halloween party just one year prior The scenes where Tramer was doing the podcast felt too long and stretched out, I felt they could've been much shorter to save time for more important scenes I liked the build up with Michael Myers constantly stocking Sophi throughout the movie but it ultimately felt wasted because of the anticlimactic ending (Michael gets shot in the back and falls into the water, I was expecting something more epic and suspenseful during the ending that would be worth all the build up) The kills weren't as suspenseful as they were in the last film
