Can I just say major well done for using something more environmentally friendly! I have been trying to find ideas for spider webbing for Halloween instead of using the cheap polyester stuff and everything I've been finding is just as bad, it's throw away/not reusable and is made from bad materials. This web is such a great idea and I love you show how to stop it getting tangled etc, very informative.

You are correct, and a real black widow has the hour glass on it's underbelly. I of course put the hour glass on top so it could be seen, and it is pink because that is the color of fluorescent poster board I could find.

The Outdoor Light Fixture will light up an area about as big as a 25 ft web and should be placed about 20 ft from the web. Depending on how big your yard is, it would take more than one fixture to light it up. If you want to light up a large area, then make black light canons that will do that, but they cost $200 and up and I haven't found one that is rated for outdoors.

Sweet deco but only one prob if you don't mind my critique: Black widows have hour glasses on their front midsection, not their back. Thought you should know. All in awesome idea for Halloween!

Very true. At 9:18 into the video I mention that the hourglass on a real black widow is on the underbelly, but I put it on the top so you can see it.

I bought Home Accents Holiday 26 in. Animated Spider from Home Depot.$39.98. Spider lights up and has 4 moving legs. mounted it on 2x4 board and used 2x4 to hold it up to the web. You can hide the 2x4 by using corn stalks or any other Halloween decorations. I just installed it this weekend and lots of people stopping by looking at it. Once they seen the spider legs move. made it a little more creeper.

I put the black lights about 20 ft in front of the web on the ground. But I have customers who tell me it works to put it above, below and even behind the web.
