Having her no longer being his niece would take away from Michael Myers's character, particularly that scene near the end of Halloween 5. It would also make far less sense as to why Michael Myers would obsess over one random woman and her daughter. "Oh... She did not get killed by him back in 1978? Well, now he needs to make her the centre of his universe." At least with the brother-sister relationship -- and later, uncle-niece relationship -- there is some logic as to why he would make them his long-term targets. Not when the only thing they have is not being killed by him the first time around.

His last name was never given out canonically. _Lloyd_ was never associated with his first name. He’s never been called “Jimmy Lloyd” except by the fans. There is a theory among fans of the series that Jimmy may be the father of Jamie Lloyd and/or John Tate. The theory has been debunked as far as John is concerned; as for Jamie, it has not been disproved. However, in Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers, Jamie pulls out a photo of herself with her father, who bears little resemblance to Jimmy. The identity of Jamie's father has never been significant to the story. If Jimmy is the father of Jamie, he would also be the grandfather of Jamie's son, Steven Lloyd and the man in the photo could have possibly been her uncle, Jimmy's younger brother Ziggy.

The biggest stain on the entire Halloween series is how Jamie’s story ended. She goes through hell for two movies just to get kidnapped,raped, and brutally murdered. Even though H5 was a mess,H6 still could’ve been great if she remained the protagonist and it was just her coming out of hiding to team up with Loomis and finish Michael once and for all. There would even be some emotional tension since she’d be avenging Rachel. That would be more epic then all the Laurie vs Michael showdowns combined.

I have an idea on how to continue Jamie Lloyd's story and give her a solid conclusion. A new timeline that continues from the 4th film and ignores movies 5 & 6. Here's my pitch: Halloween: Reckoning Set 35 years after the events of H4, Jamie Lloyd (played by Danielle Harris) has moved on with her life and is under the alias of Michelle Becker, who has become a famous horror author. However, she is forced to return to Haddonfield when her adoptive father dies and reunites with her estranged adoptive sister Rachel (played by Ellie Cornell), who still hasn't forgiven her for the death of their adoptive mother, which Jamie still struggles over. However, Michael Myers' reappears, revealed to be responsible for killing their dad in order to lure Jamie out. After an argument with Rachel, Jamie almost leaves until Marion Chambers approaches her and leaves a letter from the late Dr. Loomis, who (in voice over) warns her that the ritual had failed. In a flashback, a young Jamie (recast with a child who looks like young Harris) is incarnated in a children's hospital, where Dr. Loomis (also recast with someone who looks like Pleasance) attempts to save her from the evil of Michael, knowing that she is trying to fight back. He researches the history of Samhain and discovers a way to save Jamie, who is falling to the evil as it slowly consumes her. Michael eventually attacks and kills the staff before getting to Jamie. Attempting a ritual, Loomis has the evil transferred from Jamie and onto him before Michael stabs him. Loomis tries to touch him to gain the rest of the evil within, but Michael sends them out the window before it is completed, although the two survive, with Michael escaping. Years later, Jamie is released back into society but is shunned by Rachel and Haddonfield, with the exception of her adoptive father, who helps get her a new identity. Loomis has himself committed to an insane asylum, where he lives the rest of his days before dying, resisting the evil within. In the present-day, Michael attacks and kills Marion, forcing Jamie to flee. Afraid for her adoptive sister, Jamie goes to warn her and is followed by Michael. The police pursue but are killed by Michael when they reach the house. Jamie finds Rachel but they end up trapped in the basement. Remembering when she absorbed part the evil from her uncle, Jamie approaches Michael and embraces him, fully consuming the evil and leaving him vulnerable. After Rachel escapes, she then sets fire to the basement and collapses the staircase, trapping them. Rachel pleads for her to take her hand from an opening, but she refuses, knowing that the evil is too strong and will eventually take her as it did Michael. Saying goodbye to her and tearfully saying thank you for being her sister, the flames consume Jamie and Michael, killing them. After Jamie's funeral, Rachel tearfully apologizes to her grave and forgives her. In the afterlife, Jamie is greeted by her mother, Laurie Strode (played by Jamie Lee Curtis). The two embrace and walk into the bright light together.

They have another alternate timeline version where Laurie didn’t die she faked her death, thinking she was protecting Jamie from Michael and he would leave the family alone, that’s why she gave Jamie the Lloyd last name, if they stuck with that version it could’ve done much better for the franchise, and Laurie could’ve still came back without throwing the franchise all over the place, and still had her grandson from H6 and son from H2O all in one, because Jamie did a great job and so did the son from H2O, the timeline loop threw me off because now only pt1 count and they’re not related all of a sudden

What if Jamie and John were twins? They both appear to have been the same age, born in 1981, her aged 7 in 1988, him aged 17 in 1998. Mr. Lloyd and Mr. "Tate" may have been one in the same. Perhaps Mr. LLoyd and Laurie Strode took John and changed their name to Tate, but Mr. Tate didn't stick around? And perhaps Mr. Lloyd and Laurie put Jamie up for adoption.

Sad she only got to live 15 years. Her being killed of right away in Halloween 6 pissed me off so badly. Not only did she not act as Jaime in that movie but the fact she was killed of way too early made me pissed off too. Loomis always looked out for Jaime in halloween 6 he blamed himself for her death. But I think Loomis was traumatized by Michael that's why he quit his job. What I noticed whenever Michael "attacked" Loomis he seemed to go easy on him for some reason. In Halloween 2 he stabbed him slightly not hard enough to kill him., in 5 Michael only stabbed him a bit. Seems he slightly has a care for him cause he never tries to stab him fatally.
