Wow, your thrift store and antique store prices are great! That bowl type thing is from a chafing dish, and the little ivory pitcher's crackled look is due to crazing (which I happen to love.) Great finds!

You find the best items! Those glass cloches were probably candle holders, I used to have a set of 3 long legged iron candle holders that those glass domes fit inside to place a votive candle in. I need to get out to garage sales, the thrift stores around here don't ever seem to have much anymore. Wishing you a wonderful week!

Wow!!!! That buffet mirror was stunning! Love the goodies you got. ALSO! It could be pretty cool to leave the long skinny mirror you got flat on a table like a tray and place glass bottles on top with fairy lights! The way it would reflect it all would be so pretty!

Good haul love those mirrors...Definitely Victorian...I have been looking for a sewing machine drawer..I guess if I think about it enough I will find one..those old encyclopedia books we had some and not long ago we took them to half price books and they did not want them so I dropped them off at Goodwill...just started to watch you I'm a vintage..Victorian kind of gal...

We've been buying lamp oil (Walmart) to use with those lamps. Or at least keep on hand when the power goes out - lately that's a year round possibility. They're also nice in the winter instead of candles. Just a caution, remember to change the wick and watch how old the lamp is. Sometimes the part that holds the wick may need replaced and the newer replacement pieces don't always fit. However, when you find an older lamp with working parts they're priceless!

What great finds. I could see that silver footed vessel thats missing its inside glass dish as a riser for a white or black pumpkin surrounded by spanish moss. Also on the little glass domes, I get iron or interesting knobs and glue them to the top. I do bronze, but any ones you like will do. And what can you say about that mantle mirror at the end. Seriously $10.00.... I would pay $100.00 without blinking an eye! The shape is so unique. Love...love...love!

Gorgeous finds! Love that mirror in the end. So fyi on the birds attached to wood sculpture given my your friend…stuff like that goes for pretty decent money. It looks like sand birds and the wood definitely looks like driftwood. If you wanted to look it up maybe use keywords like “birds” or “sand birds” “driftwood” “hand carved” “sculpture” and probably also “vintage.” I saw some for up to a few hundred. Thanks for the great video!

What great finds! Love the oil lamps, the buffet mirror, and the drawer to use for a riser for your apothecary. I went to St. Vinnie's thrift store and was lucky to find they have rows and rows of antique books for $3.49 each. Look forward to seeing the rest of your Halloween decorating.

I bought a couple of those myself to use as cloches. I'm pretty sure they were used to hold votive candles in black wire style holders. They also make awesome little cloches!

New to your channel and have enjoyed your haul and ideas for your witchy halloween. The birds sit on driftwood which is highly collectible in coastal zones. You knocked it out of the park on your vintage pieces such as the buffet mirror, the trunk, the wood piece (you are planning to use above the door) is so cool (I think it's Eastlake). Finally, go back for the rest of the books (so you won't feel "haunted" by the loss). I do not like buyer's remorse. I just got the exact Sloan's liniment bottle for $2. Looking forward to seeing the final vignette.

I wonder if, after Halloween, you could get the witch shoes shined and buffed, get them some extra long laces that go all the way up, and see if they fit you! They look genuinely old. Nicole Rudolph is a shoe historian and she might be able to tell you how old they are, and tips on preservation.

You found some really cool stuff. I live in Arizona and I feel like that stuff is harder to find and the prices aren’t as good. I also liked how honest you were about the apothecary jar that was marked seven dollars. There are not enough honest people out there.

Lamp oil is easy to come by. Make sure to buy new wicks as well because accumulated dust in old ones are covered in God only knows what. Walmart, Home Depot, any hardware store and even most farm stores have lamp oil. You can even add some essential oils for scent! Oil lamps are awesome for power outages too!

GIRL YOU HAVE TO USE THOSE OIL LAMPS!! I have several all over my house and I use them alll the time and they really set the mood and make my home feel so cozy and they last forever, like they don’t burn up like a candle does. I got a big jug of oil lamp oil on Amazon for 10$. You can also get the wicks for them on Amazon

Great haul! I love oil lamps and have several, and I do light them. I highly recommend Shabbos Paraffin Lamp Oil. I get it on Amazon and it's very reasonably priced. WalMart has lamp oil and the cotton wicks for oil lamps. The birds are made out of horns-great interesting piece. I t would be a year round displayed item in my home. Dark, gothic, eclectic, Victorian.

Hi, I'm à Catholic and not a colored witch. The "lamp" at 1:00 is a Hurricane Lamp. You put kerosene in them and use for light if electricity goes off. If it's before electricity was used then we use it for light when it's turned night. Growing up on the Mississippi Gulf Coast (where Hurricane Katrina actually hit) everybody had these. They worked very well and had an odd odor - from the kerosene. I remember hearing about 'lamp oil', but I don't know if that's a référence to kerosene or another lighting/burning fluid. 😃

So many great finds! The branch is actually driftwood. I think it wood be great for a witchy theme, since witches would, most likely, live near a water source. I'm so in love with that mirror! Also, The Razor's Edge is a classic. I think it has been made into two movies. You might even want to check if it's a first edition, or how much yours is worth.

More thoughts - check out hardware stores for lamp oils that are not going to smell strongly of kerosene. Be very careful with the cheaper, smaller lamps as they can be a fire hazard. Keep a fire extinguisher nearby. If anyone has asthma do not burn the lamps around them. There are wonderful lamps to find out there.

Krysta, I just purchased lamp oil from Amazon (clear, odorless) Lamplight Ultra-Pure Lamp Oil, Clear, 32 Ounce. I've used it and love the light it gives. Since there is no odor, I like it evern more, It's clean and really does burn nicely.
