update: did a 30 artifact run. turns out, the secret is to stop even trying to not get hit: just put on the gear that gets you the most defense and hope you do enough damage to outheal the mobs.

One thought I have is to test boosted thornfist for faster amulet stacking, based on the vault speedrun. I don't know if you would survive enough hits to get your heal to outpace the incoming damage though. I don't have enough artifacts yet to test it myself

How are your boots 30/30? Mine are 20/20. The 30/30 I saw only in purple state. Did they nerf it? Been playing the game for the past week.

dumb question but how to get artifact? I only collected 5 by defeated Lord

you need to beat the vault, which drops the archeologist's thread artifact (lets you retrieve green items) and enables other artifacts to be dropped in agony mode.
