When a trait is excluded after selecting a new one, does that completely remove the trait from your build altogether? Or does it just exclude it from being leveled up any further throughout the duration? Thanks!

@@jamesbeveridge4493 as far as I know, all traits are reset with each run. An upgraded trait will not affect your next playthrough, only your current one. so mix and match all you want :-)

You have a lot of same traits just on a different trait levels. You can have a damage +20% lvl 2 trait and a damage +20% lvl 4 trait, depends on you class. Some traits exclude other traits if you take it, you can see that when you right click on it. As example: You have a lvl 2 trait that gives you 10% damage or 10% crit chance. You can only take one of them. But you can use the flask which holds one trait. You can use this to hold the 10% dmg and you take the 10% crit chance. Next level up you see your 10% dmg trait. So you can take both lvl 2 traits.
