I did a thread about playing as a brute on the halo infinite forums and I wanted to add in the Halo 3 armor break/ability to it. With armor your health defense and have an armor ability, but once that bar is depleted it breaks and you are unarmored/unshielded and have a berserk ability that can regen health but you can't shoot, only run around. Until you get a new set of armor that is your state and if that goes down you die. For customization you just pick one of 3 unarmored models, Warrior, Captian or Chieftian, then you can customize your armor on it.

@Alex Luca That's not true. If you do that and then try something like swapping weapons with the elite it totally breaks. You can get them to dual wield by ticking the flag but the proper functionality isn't there.

I tried with Arbiter but he could never make the jump/would fall down the holes on the boss battle stage. Even after increasing his jump velocity he would never make it. So I decided on a Councilor.

I find the lose of Tarkin as a character pretty sad,he had so much potential and only managed to show up in game a few times in Halo 2,of course that what I love about The halo series from Combat evolved to Halo 2 and 3 but I realy wish we got some sort of DLC where we could play as a Brute executing his orders or someting and ending up being the same brute captains that whrre with him.

All you need to do is fix the fps Elite hand to a Brute hand and add more Brute sound effects and this would be perfect

You should make brute versions of the vehicles that red plasma that’s faster and does more damage but is more inaccurate. Maybe you could also give some of the brutes a weaker version of Tartarus’s over shields but make them act like the Halo 3 armor where they can regain strength but once they go down their gone. You should also add some stealth brutes, and brutes using human weapons. There could also be honor guard brutes with weak non regenerative shields and energy swords. The brutes should also have the ability to duel wield.

Hey, how did you manage to swap the player bipeds in Anniversary graphics? I've tried doing it with the Chief turning into a Marine by changing his .model tags but it only seemed to have an effect on classic graphics.

As said in another comment, Grunts don't appear on this mission. Sadly from what I've seen of Assembly since the update, there isn't a tag extract/inject in place for H2A either, so taking grunts from other maps may not be possible yet.

@Sod Does the difficulty you were playing on effect the Marines’ stats the same way it does normal enemies? If not, Halo 2 Marines are even tougher than I remember. I’ve always heard they’re the best Marines in the entire series but I didn’t think one could take two grazes from a shotgun and then melee from a brute.
