My first experience in the Halo universe, I was babysitting for a friend, and it was after the kids had gone to bed. They'd said I could use the Xbox after they'd gone to bed, so I did. Halo 2 looked interesting, so I popped it in. Unfortunately, they were the sort to not take care of discs, so I only got as far as the tunnels under New Mombassa before it couldn't read the disc any more. Two months later, I, a die hard Nintendo fanboy, bought an Xbox so I could play Halo 2 some more. And I bought Halo CE with it, because I needed that. It was 2008 and I was wishing I could have afforded the Xbox 360 to get Halo 3 as well. Soon enough I did get the 360 (Halo 3 Edition!) and if a new console had never come out, I'd be fine on that forever. Halo 3, ODST, Halo wars, Reach, and Burnout Paradise... I played those so much that I've owned Bioshock, Mass Effect 1&2, Dead Space 1&2, and Fallout 3 since like 2014, and never finished any of them. I do now own Halo 4 and 5, and an Xbox One, but if you asked me, "Hey, you wanna play Halo 5 for the first time, or co-op Halo 3 on Heroic again?" I'd go for Halo 3 any day.
