Why hasn't Marty O'Donnell done a damn movie score yet?!
@johnwest27079 жыл бұрын
+XenoKaiju I don't think Marty would really fit since many modern day films are fast, flashy and uninspired/unoriginal. Sure the effects and stuff are better. But Marty on the other hand, prefers to be genuinely creative. That's not to say that Hanz Zimmer is not nice, for if referencing The Transformers movies. He requires more time to work things out. Whilst I think someone like Hanz Zimmer is better at replicating a set emotion for a score. Which is what mostly counts in scoring a movie, for the vibe to match what is happening on screen. I think he goes further in trying experimental ways of making music. His background if you didn't know, or a large part of his musical interests revolve around progressive rock and experimental varieties of music. I hope I helped you understand, or I mean I may be just conjecturing to some extent. But I feel as if Marty does what Marty feels is most creative. To be shoe-horned into a contract is not fun for him.

Love how you arranged all the tracks from the game's perspective rather than the soundtrack's. I always find it annoying when you buy soundtracks for games and they only include modified versions rather than the original or both versions together. Tsavo Highway's tracks are beyond words.
@gabrielgarcia98224 жыл бұрын
That's because game tracks are "active" where parts can be looped to extend run time. To make a soundtrack you have to "freeze" them into place and in a reasonable timeframe.
@ToastyWaffle4564 жыл бұрын
You don't absolutely have to though, as this uploader has shown here. At the minimum at least mix or freeze the tracks in such a way as to resemble the original dynamic track soup we heard as an addition to the official releases. It feels disingenuous to not do this because many customers buy music that is not as it was heard with no warning, and in many cases enjoyable parts of the audio are missing entirely. It would probably be more of an issue if the portion of people that bought game-soundtracks was much larger.
