Very true. We didn't know. Those of us who were lucky to experience Halo 2 and Halo 3 when they came out were just enjoying the ride. We thought it could only get better from here on out. How wrong we were on that. Halo 3 was the absolute peak of console multiplayer gaming, and the peak of xbox live. 2004-2011. Nothing will come close to those years. I am older, and have pretty much no time or interest in games nowadays. I still play Halo MCC occasionally to relive the glory days. But i will never forget and cherish those endless summer nights of halo 2 and halo 3, staying up til 4am playing. They were the best times.

Christmas morning. Two years after the 360 released, I got the 360 and Halo 3 as a present and the memories I've made in campaign with my brothers are just priceless. Then a year after when I finally was able to play online, it was the most fun I've had in MP and just messing around in forge with friends.

You played the game, and thats all that matters. if you enjoyed it, good. It doesnt matter WHEN you played it, it just matters that you played it. Also, the playerbase is still pretty huge so you will be able to find lobbies.

15 years ago now...this was the first game i ever got for my xbox 360 and it easily became my most beloved series in gaming even to this day. Ill never forget all the memories that were made during those late nights in team slayer and swat. This game also sparked my love for achievement hunting.. ill never forget the first time finding the skull right at the edge of that dropoff in the second mission and how cool it was to discover it. Today, on October 12, 2015, (It's past midnight right now on the 13th) my mother passed away. And the only thing I could think about was this song tonight, as I sit here, empty, and missing her.
