@@dmitryivanov5411 I've seen people pushing it off as another insignificant thing halo fans complain about, but I think preservation of the original games that can be experienced without compromise is mcc's greatest appeal. Also, I'm the type of OCD obsession player that notices the slight bit of imperfection, like in one of the halo 3 shotgun melee animations the hand flickers and it pisses me off so much that I always follow a melee with a shotgun blast. Yes it's stupid, but it's why I love games with big attention to detail Edit: spel check

@@henry-to2so Preserving the games original state and looks I think are also important, especially for a iconic game, as people will get annoyed if all of the sudden you change the original ford mustang engine with a gas turbine, it will be senseless and annoying for some car enthusiasts. I would be fine if they made a Halo 3 remaster and did their changes there as it keeps the original intact and respects it, but also allows the new audience enjoy the new stuff as well. They have done this before with CE and halo 2 so why did they choose to do it differently for halo 3?

Just a simple overrun bipmap visual and you could have the original bipad along side being randomized, basically is like this, the toggle will revert everyone armor back to it's original looks, but instead of being just the default armor, everyone armor is randomized while the toggle is one, believe it or now but halo CE does have mods doing the same thing and is impressive

Canon wise, these armors are assembled together so tightly, it can take a huge beating, would be ridiculous to see it get broken off by a traffic cone. Imagine if Chief officially dropped all his armor pieces at the start of Halo 3, wouldn't be so lucky after all.

Eh breaking off is a bit too much, maybe have it receive plasma burns, bullet holes and all that nice stuff. I know Doom 2016 had something similar in its multiplayer where if your character took too much damage then massive chunks of their flesh would be ripped off. You could actually see their intestines, ribcage and liver depending on how fucked up they were.

They added in Halo Online armours to the game which wouldn't work on the original model, so they decided to just remove the old model and replace it with the HO version which is more modular...and shit. This is all guesswork honestly but I'm assuming that since the new armours include wristguards, kneeplates and all that stuff which Halo 3 originally couldn't do; they decided to get around that with the new techsuit which the older version couldn't do. It saves a lot of frustration for the devs but honest to god I fucking hate it and want the old one back as a fourth option.

@@zow8238 Yeah that's the idea honestly. I'm not a coder and I'm not sure if that would create issues down the line for the devs to have another biped, but so far the multiplayer can support both the elites and the spartans which leads me to believe that's possible. My idea is that we can have the option to equip the 'legacy' model which is only compatible with the original armour pieces, preserving the artstyle for those who care and allowing other people to mess around with the newer armours. The newer suit is just...terrible honestly, I mean the textures aren't awful but the proportions kill it for me. If you look at the ankles then you'll notice they're basically skeletal, the boots look like armoured flip flops now and the original armour looks and feels kinda loose on their body. The 'space-diaper' is now permanently stuck in the 343 artstyle and apparently certain shoulder pieces just float off the model, CQB and scout come to mind according to certain complaints and all in all it just feels like a hackjob. Honestly Halo 2 anniversary could have done with the new armours considering its catalogue is pretty scarce at the moment.

Maybe because spartan armors are now more fragmented? You can now customize arms, legs and chest pieces separately. My guess is that it required a complete rework of the armor in order to accommodate these changes.

I thought they changed the classic techsuit for the classic option... I fucking hate that, I'm mean it's basically halo 2A's chief techsuit but still if your going to add something new... don't replace what already exists. That being said I do wish they would add some new elite armor for halo 3, like halo 2 armor with the glowing shield indicators on the arms and legs... but still fuck.

Ikr. Give us more Elite stuff. They never get any love. And if you're going to change the techsuit, for the love of god fix the armor as well. Two ways to fix this: Classic techsuit as an option or have updated classic armor that fits the new tech suits better, but is only used when new armor toggle is enabled. When disabled, just use old techsuit and pre-updated armor. The first one is far easier to implement, but the latter would ensure that none of the new armor has the classic techsuit glitching through it.

I thought something was off when I equipped the CQB shoulders, now I know why. I do like that they're adding new content and some of the Online armors they added look pretty good. They should make some modifications to the techsuit (and the new armors) to keep it to scale with the original though I can understand why. After all, why change the new techsuit and armors when you can just change the old techsuit and call it a day?

I didn't know they fully swapped the undersuit as well; I thought for some reason that those were part of the new armors. If true then that's a shame and I don't think it should be too hard to have undersuit options if they can add all this other customization in. As for the cheap models it's intersting to me that they're called that; they don't actually seem like they're any different than the normal models visually unlike the cheap Warthog which IS actually cheaper looking. I guess the lack of hud, shields, and other stuff is there but visually it looks just as nice.
