This music is phenomenal. Davidge and Jinnouchi did an incredible job. Why did so little of this music make it into the actual game? Having it blasting in the background would have been awesome. I somewhat remember a quieted version of "Requiem" and then "117" on the last level, but that's it. A real shame!

I saw an interview with Marty recently where he talked about what he used to do as an audio director. Basically, he had control over every aspect of the game's audio including where and when his tracks played in the game. Whoever was in charge of that in Halo 4 did an absolutely terrible job. Solace, for example, I'm pretty sure only plays in a single cutscene for about 30 seconds. It's such a waste of good music.

It was an attempt to avoid repetition -- we didn't just want to play scenery all the time. But as the editing got more daunting we were forced to keep most of it to scenery/still shots. I believe there's another cinematic bit towards the end. 'Best to think of them as little Easter-eggs we put in for those actually watching the video :P Thanks for your interest :)

I dunno about the rest of you, but I spend at least five minutes just staring at the moving stuff in the floors and walls. I don't know if any of this is available or procurable, never having done such a project, but it's just a suggestion.
