Halo 4 - "Forerunner" - Combat Music (battle before the Cryptum)

one of the most memorable stand outs in recent years. I’ve been playing this one a lot lately and “Forerunner” is the one i look forward to the most.

Someone had posted a comment here once about how this sounded like 'Pylons', which I deleted thinking they might have been trolling in referring to the Starcraft meme ("You must construct additional pylons" lol). I realised only recently that there is actually a track on Vol. 2 of the Halo 4: Original Soundtrack called Pylons. These audio parts are present in that track, though they feature there in a somewhat different edit from the in-game presentation. Sorry for not realising this earlier, I wish I could un-delete that post. This upload also focuses only on the main combat loop as someone else had pointed out. I'll have to try and do one that covers the suite better. Pylons is a good reference!

Doesn’t the in game version have like an extra synth tune to it?

I haven't played the game in a looong time, so I can't confirm, but I don't remember there being an extra synth. I've listened to the Pylons track a few times as well and didn't pick out an extra synth during the main combat loop in there either. But, I'll keep a lookout the next time!

eezonaut I mainly heard it around the end of the battle near the cutscene trigger, you might be able to hear it too.
