Cortana was perfect in this game. They fleshed her out so much and then gave her a tear jerking send off. And then they dug up her corpse to make her a silly villain for 5.

She was rampant at this point, I love Cortana, hell I grew up with her as a young adult, I read all the books, her actions in Halo 5 are reasonable, if you read the books..... but for 343 and Microsoft, that is the issue they assumed everyone read the books, which is why Halo 5 was a catastrophe to the general audiance... and I hope the self correct in Halo: Infinite....

I don’t mind so much that they brought her back. What bothers me is that her character shows up with absolutely no explanation, Chief just plays along like it’s all normal for her to be there, and then they started throwing around the whole, “Read the books to find out more!” It’s a core entry. Massive plot points like that shouldn’t be in optional side media.

I didn't like a lot of things in Halo 4. However, I did like how it sort of brought out more chief's and cortana's character. I found it interesting how chief did act like a robot, in the sense that he doesn't show much emotion or opinion and just does his mission. Cortana acted more human in openly expressing thoughts, beaming with emotion, even giving attitude at times.

I love moments like these. I really appreciate Halo 4 bringing so much more of Chief’s humanity out. It’s like despite her rampancy, Cortana is still quirky. And his smirking is just reflective of their relationship.

I love that scene so much it's the one time I actually feel that behind that blank helmet......you can feel john giving her a smile. It may not have been very enthusiastic but it felt like the most genuine thing I've ever felt out of him growing up with this game.

Halo 4 is one of those gems from 343. Say what you want about them, but I genuinely felt like they put their best put forward in Halo 4’s campaign, especially when it came to John and Cortana’s relationship.

This moment and the one "About being a machine" are the reasons i think the Halo 4 campaign plot is awesome, almost like a movie. It is way too hard to add those kind of moments in a FPS game, a shame that 343 went for a generic plot for Halo 5, Cortana's revival into a villain made this cutscene irrelevant.

Not really. Part of early stages of ai rampancy in the halo books is them not literally them processing themselves into insanity (both with new experiences and that they'll never beh "human"despite everything)

Cortana was so hot in this game. When I played Halo 5 and they were hinting at her return, I was really excited to see how much hotter she could look on the Xbox One. Then she showed up and they made her look not only hideous but had her wearing clothes! What a letdown! I thought 343 would learn their lesson after that with the backlash Halo 5 got but they made The Weapon look just as homely in Halo Infinite. What is wrong with them nowadays?
