Halo A New Dawn | reaction and thoughts

The rebrand was 100% needed. The 343 name was dragged through the mud a lot. Even when the higher ups and a lot of other employees we're fired/replaced, and the studio was basically a completely different studio at that point, people were still calling for 343 to not work on future titles. I feel like while the lore guys seem to be happy with Halo currently, the general gaming community currently sees Halo as a joke, and a shell of it's former self. I don't think Halo will ever go back to being as big as it was during the days of the original trilogy, but hopefully this is the start of Halo being a great franchise again.

Solid take I can understand that mindset. Halo has gone through too much behind the scenes to make it like it used to, but hopefully, it becomes great in a new way.

How I feel: 1. Looks good. 2. Don't trust it. 3. Will keep hoping they won't mess things up lol. 4. I feel like story is more important than the graphics and prettiness. I mean it doesn't matter how great something looks, if the core of it is empty then there's no point but arguably gameplay may be the most important, my personal opinion is storyline/character stories are most important.

That's true definitely wanna take this with a grain of salt cuz we really don't know what's in store for Halo once all this is said and done. I'm right there with you I care more about the storyline and characters. I think the gameplay for most of the Halo games nowadays like 5 and infinite play just fine and they don't need to reinvent the wheel for it.

@@TwoWield Yes exactly! 😁 I'm just more of a story person too 😂That's what got me into Halo in the first place, I thought Chief was the coolest character in existence. lol. But if they do decide to lean to making things look better instead of gameplay/story, they better add a LOT of forge mechanics for machinima stuff lol.
