The final part of my Zuka 'Zamamee Campaign mod playthrough is here! The previous level had us blasting through a frozen canyon with the objective of retaking Alpha Halo's Control Room. With our mission complete, we fast forward some time to the events of the original Halo CE level "Keyes" where the Master Chief is on board a Covenant Cruiser trying to reach his Captain's location within the control room of this vessel. We must stop him at all costs! He has been allowed to desecrate this holy Ring for far too long 😤 Our ultimate goal is to prevent him from leaving this installation once and for all...

Bonus Facts about the level: When going down the lift, whatever weapon you have out & equipped is what zuka will have equipped when facing you. You can really pull out an elite with a fuel rod and make it hell on yourself for that last part, or an elite with an assault rifle. When the transition happens, you literally become master chief. If you die, chief dies. Doesn't change the outcome of the mod since it just reverts you to last checkpoint. Due to limitations tho, you have the same FP hands. That's not changeable in h1. The plasma pistol you pick up is intended to be Yayap's plasma pistol; he died while setting up the ambush. The Warthog you drive to the lift is implied to be the warthog that's outside of the little warthog pen at the beginning of the normal warthog run on The Maw. Pillar of Fire is a direct reference to Yayap's dream from the books you can straight up softlock the mission by going forwards on the warthog run. I should prolly fix that but nobody's ever brought it up so... Caboose is on EVERY mission somewhere.

I’m no modder, and so it’s real easy to sit and say what would be cool. While also having zero understanding of the skill to make it happen. But, if I still may, I think it would’ve been cool to see almost a reverse reach story. For as many times as zuka gets knocked out in an encounter with the chief. They could all be named squad mates of his that get killed. Just like the zealot did to noble in reach. But it also wouldn’t be true to the story. But it sounds cool to me

When you get off the Spirit in the start of this there should be screaming grunts that die from fall damage, fuel rod ones as well. It is in the Xbox and the Gearbox version and probably is due to the Spirit being too high, or that the grunts were supposed to get off on the platform with the Shade Turret, not fall down to the floor..
