Frank O'Conner once said he "Would like to make the older Halo engines available to the modding community" But we have no idea when, or if that was just fluff or not. They did say that Halo is pretty much a console exclusive now, and pretty much forever.

@Masterlink981 Yes, we know that NOW. That comment was almost a year old. That was the rumor at the time. Now we know it uses the Saber engine for the graphics and its the original Halo engine for the gameplay.

Haters gone hate, But Halo Anniversary and Halo 4, 5 & 6 were announced at E3. Epic win :) They still have a lot of ground to cover in the halo universe and CE's remake is going to have several terminals filled with BRAND NEW canon tied in with the new trilogy. Bungie doesn't have the rights to make any more Halo games at this time. Microsoft and Bungie no longer have a partnership agreement and Microsoft owns the rights to Halo. 343 industries is a branch of Microsoft game studios dedicated exclusively to continuing the continuity of Halo. It's headed by Frank O'connor, the Franchise Development Director of the Halo Franchise and is employed several previous Bungie employees to continue working on future tittles.

@Masterlink981 Hmm, if your biased towards the Halo 3 style gameplay you probably won't like it a whole lot, or you may like it better. It is the original 10 year old engine so it may feel clunky to you.

also, they havent said anything about halo 2 aniversary, and it wont come out for at least 4 years, so you might as well just buy halo 2 for xbox. the xbox 360 can run xbox games. SO BUY IT! and dont skip cutscenes! halo 2 explains everything that was confusing in halo 3.

hey 11 year old kid, I love halo. I started playing the first halo game when I was your age.but when you play halo online. DONT USE A HEADSET PLEASE. no offence but I hate the sound of prebubescent boys voice's over xbox live. sorry, voice chat should be ristricted to ages 13 and older. i just cant stand those hyper 10 year old kids with their high voices on xbox live.
