Vivian Nguyen there are different types and variations of hooded eyes. But I agree that some hooded eyes are a little more challenging to work with than others.

These tricks are always on hooded young eyes. I dare someone to take on the hoods of age. Yeah, skin that drools. I've managed to tuck some of it over my false eyelashes while the glue is still tacky to get rid of some of it. This much shadow is a disaster for loose skin. Mattes only & primers make it worse. Finally discovered good by pores is a good base to keep shadow from sinking in, still very very difficult to work with. If make up artists are artists why do they dodge old loose skin & bags?

Oh, so true! I have super hooded, heavy, downturned eyes that are SO hard to copy and any kind of tutorial almost impossible. But you give me hope, Smitha! Hahahahaha! One of the reasons that I like your tutorials is that you don't let "disabled lids" (haha!) stop you from not only creating designs that you can see, but you make all of those sparkling, metallic and colorful MU looks easy and amazing! That was the best step by step instructions on how to make the halo effect that I have ever seen. I needed to see this. You helped me to better understand how to do it. Tanya Darnell - Make up has expanded greatly since then too. Products will blow those ones from back then through the roof. I really recommend shadows from Tart and Urban Decay. You’ll be able to locate them at an Ulta or Sephora. I just splurged on myself and bought one from each brand and the creamy powders are exactly what you need to achieve looks like this. The blend beautifully!! Thank goodness for KZbin tutorials like this to help us get good at using make up. I have learned so much from watching!!

Beautiful! It reminds me of the eye makeup that I did in the 80's with Lancome in many ways. However, time has given me a hood that I had not anticipated. I stopped wearing makeup years ago because I discovered that I looked younger without it. I would like to find a more natural look that I can wear for special occasions, but one that does not age me more when I am wearing it. Any help in that area is always appreciated. I may have to play my makeup again before I get too old. lol!
