Just picked it up for around 20USD, it is quite a hefty book

It's ok but lacks a lot of detail giving false impressions of certain things and reads often like it's simply trying to celebrate the master chief and give fans what they want to read An example of this is the author being very disparaging to the previous Spartan generations missing out key info. I.e the Spartan 3's. It doesn't mention they actually had superior training to the 2's and the CAT 2 Spartan 3's were of equal genetic worth to the Spartan 2's-hence them being pulled into separate teams and given MJOLNIR. It also doesn't mention that the SPARTAN 4's were designed to be equal to the 2's inside their suits as the newer gen MJOLNIR was to bridge the physical gap as they had less extensive augmentations to the previous Spartan generations. -This can all be sourced from the novels and Frank O Connor (former director of Halo)
