I personally don’t like flick stick all that much, but I can’t deny how successful people can be with it

It takes practice and game sense to master, which means all my game sense is going into flick stick. lol

@@tekgeekster yeah, I just don’t like having the gyro be my only way to aim vertically. I feel like I still get a great deal of success on the steam controller using the trackball mode trackpads with a fairly high sensitivity. Don’t play much PvP kind of stuff, but I’ve never felt hindered with that method in fast paced games like Doom Eternal on its highest difficulty.

Last time I tried steam pad, it felt so foreign to me. Which is odd, because I started this journey out on a steam controller.

@@tekgeekster for me, having only 2 paddles and certain buttons feeling subpar (the face buttons and bumpers come to mind) holds it back for me. That’s why I only use it for certain games. Currently I juggle an Elite V2, a custom made DS4 with back buttons, and a steam controller for all my PC gaming

I'm thinking about modding my ds5 soon. I'm sick of not having paddles, and the extreme rate rise 4 mod looks promising.

How did you configure flick stick with vehicles? I found it completely broke the driving so I switched a more traditional gyro setup where the gyro is for fine aiming.

I just left it the same. Seems to work fine. You don't need to flick the whole time. You can rotate slowly once you hit the edge. It's usually better to flick up then rotate from there when driving most of the time, it just takes time to retrain your brain.

How is the ps5 controller for gyro in terms of like reliability of signal and input latency etc on wireless? Currently using the ps4 controller but considering getting a ps5 controller and i'm curious if its better or roughly the same.

it's just as good as the ds4

I am not that familiar with all of the options available for gyro, is there perhaps a way to make the aiming not so shaky?

You can apply smoothing. Not my preference personally, I just don't notice it anymore.
