Halo: Helljumpers (Teaser Concept)

Halo teaser I made for a school project. (Don't have any plans on making something else with this). Very inspired by some teasers at the time, most notably Halo 3 ODST and Gears 2 (As you might imagine lol).
Found the file on my hard drive and wanted to post it here.

This is what Halo used to be. A fun action scfi military shooter with a good dose of plausible military scfi that helped give it that much needed spark of grounded reality a lot of scfi series miss the mark with I think (please don't argue there are plenty of hard scfi military me and many of you could name no need for "well actually" please). This was beautiful and what the TV show should've been. Had almost 3 decades of in universe war to make a series about that ties into the games. This is what it should've been. Also using the good Marine and og Halo art style was such a boon. The inspiration from the Gears of War 2 trailer was lovely.

I both love and hate Halo for its "grounded" and "plausible" military. On the one hand its easy to wrap your head around most of the Human weapons and technologies without too much explanation. On the other hand its 500 years into the future. I do not know what kind of weapons we will use 500 years into the future, but I would argue that we would have developed posible hand-held lasers, probably some particle beam weapons, maybe plasma based weapons and various types of electro-magnetic launchers for kinetic munitions (railguns and coilguns) in a hand held format and larger. Yes Halo weaponry is iconic, but it is also in some cases almost obsolete even in a modern context and even today we are getting to deploying equal or better than most ground weapons than the UNSC.

@Keemperor40K oh yeah fully agree dude the rail gun travels at 400km per second and it's mounted on the back of a warthog for basic marine use. They could have easily developed hand held laser/rail guns with battery backs on the back of marines with tons of resources to spare.

Was watching the Gears of War 2 trailer for nostalgia reasons and then saw this and I just fell in love with this so much. Follows how the GoW 2 trailer went and it’s a perfect song. Am I the only one who thinks either a game or a book centered on ODSTs in New Mombasa during the events of Halo 3 would be a sick idea? Having to fight off the covenant, and then having to save civilians from the flood outbreak, while surviving yourself. I don't feel that floodgate really emphasized just how cataclysmic having the flood land on earth was, and I feel like seeing it firsthand would be what we need. A Halo survival-horror shooter
