It's the same animation that you see from other players / other players see from you when you're playing. Nothing wrong with it, and it's exactly what I expected, look at CoD 3rd person. Just camera movement, no new animations for toggling.

Then you aren't a true halo fan. The community is half the experience and I'd expect them to know what a good halo game is. Not someone that thinks split screen is the only game flaw. This game is garbage top to bottom. Engine is trash, art style is trash, maps and desync still trash, the animations are cheap and plastic like. It's bad all around. Keep coping.

The gameplay and movement is pretty great, pretty much every gun feels good to use which is not the case in any other halo game imo. Also Desync has been gone. Maybe take the nostalgia glasses off and look at it objectively.

@@McBreezyCTF funny that you mention nostalgia when I didn't even bring up any previous Halo games. It's ok to enjoy what you enjoy, but it's not good. If it were good, people would be playing it. I also like how you cherry picked a few things that are done right but fail to acknowledge the engine, maps, art, vehicle imbalances, etc. a gun being fun to use doesn't make a game good. The animations are worse than any halo game I've ever played. It's ok to enjoy what you want but again, it's not good.

It's crazy to me that Microsoft hasn't utilised other studios to make other Halo games. The Halo universe/franchise is big enough to have tonnes of spin-offs - a 3rd person ODST game, one like A Plague Tale where you play a human escaping and surviving during the Covenant invasion while protecting your child, another Halo Wars. I’m excited for the next halo being unreal engine. The movements of your Spartan are extremely robotic in infinite, which yes, civilians were convinced they were giant robots at one point I get it, but that’s not because they move like robots at all. Reach and Halo 4 had the perfect Spartan body language for me.

The funny thing is that around the time mw2 2022 released and they brought back 3rd person in a better over the shoulder format. I sent a tweet to 343 stating that both Halo and Battlefield should bring in an optional switch on the fly 3rd person mode.

Halo creators no they need to eventually make Halo third person especially for their open world project coming up. Also especially if it's coming out for Switch as well as obviously Xbox. They can improve the gameplay massively overall if practicing in third person as well.
