Assumptions: They want gal Spartans with bigger dump trucks. Reality: In lore, Spartan 177 "Master Chief" aka "John" was first put on the map during the battle of Horstes Hill more commonly known as Battle for Bridge Crossing due to its vital Bridge connecting the two largest hills in the region giving good sight lines and defensive capabilities. The battle was fierce as the Covenant Elites had captured the smaller hill and had pushed up entirely on the bridge. Luckily, one of the last few Pelicans to land on the Higher base carried a group of Spartans including 117. Further aid was cut off as Covenant Anti-air support had established themselves too close. The Spartans being rather new to combat with the Covenant made good progress but fell to the battle hardened Elites of the Covenant. All hope seemed loss until Master Chief used his, canonical, HUGE MASSIVE DUMP TRUCK ASS TO FLATTEN THE COVIE BASTARDS. So in order to pay homage to the lore, we need to ensure our asses in game can represent the absolute CAKES on the average Spartan.

Well, you got excluded because 343i had to appease the .0001% of the population on Twitter that doesn't acknowledge that men and women have distinct physical differences and throw shitfits every time male and female are used as descriptors for body types. This happened in MCC too, the Reach and Halo 4 body options got renamed as "Heavy" or "Light" though at least they both still represent the distinctly different body shapes of the sexes. In Infinite we just got the 3 slightly different masculine shapes: big, average, and slim.

Jokes about Reach’s female spartan models aside, I adored Reach so much as a kid because, for the first time in a video game franchise I loved, I felt represented. Here's a funny fact for you. In a port of the armor core MkV (B) for Fallout 4, it was discovered that all body types conform to the male body. You literally cannot be a female in Halo Infinite. It took another modder to separate and create a female body type from scratch using the bodyslide system; and do you know what? They did it! One person did what a AAA company could not. That is what pisses me off about 343, they are lazy and uncaring about Halo as an IP. They either need to pull their fingers out of their arse or leave.

In order to cover up the corner cutting 343 did they said that Spartans in Infinite are androgynous which makes little sense since spartan 4s are more akin to special forces rather than super soldiers, making them more human in appearance. Overall it's just 343 being lazy. Not politics.

Honestly, Infinite has been a massive disappointment from the beginning. It alludes to Halo’s original spirit, but it just lost itself in the microtransaction landscape of modern gaming. Customization is simultaneously excessive and restrictive [through things like the audio/visual effects that play on opponent’s screen when you kill them, the extremely lore-breaking cores and add-ons, and limited color and armor additions/variant options]. Normally spartans would experience body dimorphism, where the shapes of their bodies would not change much based on the sex of the individual, including how the armor sits. However it is worth noting that these are Spartan 4's, one's that signed up voluntarily at a later age, where puberty already took affect, so in a way, yes it makes sense lore wise to give them a dumpy.

The fact all customization is behind painful to grind battle passes is what killed Infinite for me. Halo never did that shit, they should've done what they always did and had unlocks either available from the get go or tied to specific milestones.

Infinite only has 1 gender they only need to make 1 set of armor for each gender instead of 2. And to avoid having to finally make different arm models in first person. I believe this is because 343 is lazy and not “muhhh being pc”

tbf, This Body type system is a downgrade compared to the previous halo games. in past, halo reach to halo 5. when you changed bodytypes aka female and male, the armour changed with the body type. for halo infinite its pretty lazy what they did, i hope one day they bring it back.

I always assumed the bodytype stuff was so minimal was because the undersuit isn't form fitting, so thin or thick, the padding doesn't change unless it's being pushed on

One complaint I and many others have voices our opinions on as well is the fact some armor chest plates don't change colours when you apply armor coatings to your main suit. A good example of one such armor this happens with is the ODST chest plate as it remains a grey colour regardless of what colour you choose and there are little to no armor coatings that affect this when in previous games this armor piece would always change colours to match what you selected for it.

Saying halo infinite has the least amount of content is straight up a lie. It literally has more options than any other halo. You might not like all the options or might not like the core and shader system, and that’s fine. But this game literally has more pieces you can adjust and more options for those pieces than any other halo
