I grew up playing halo, one of the best storylines and design ever. You really have to appreciate how good it was for it’s time and what it did for the community pvp

Something this video gets partially wrong is the reason the Human-Insurrection war began, which started in the late 25th century several decades before the Human-Covenant War. The Insurrectionists rebelled because their people in the outer colonies weren't just forgotten, but most of their worlds were farm worlds that were being overtaxed by the UEG and inner colony corporations. I also don't like how in this video, the narrator uses the Covenant names for alien species, which I know, but those might be very confusing for new Halo fans such as yourself, so here they are: San'Shyuum are the Prophets Sangheili are the Elites Lekgolo are the Hunters Jiralhanae are the Brutes (yes, they do look like yetis) Kig-Yar are the Jackals Yanme'e are the Drones and finally, Unggoy are the Grunts.

Halo has to be experienced. Play the games and read the books in chronological order. The commercials also set the stage for the games. Its all gives you a feeling of becoming the master chief and wraps you in the story in a way the shows makers never understood.

The halo TV show might be better as just pure entertainment to someone from outside the community, but if you know the lore and are into it, the show is a disgrace. The lore isn't just inaccurate in the show, but it's not even similar at all. Granted, it takes place in a different timeline, so no one was expecting 100% authenticity, but it has literally nothing in common with halo. It's like the writers wanted to make their own sci-fi show but couldn't get it greenlit without having it piggyback off an already established IP. If you stripped away all the props and replaced them with just generic space guns and armor, no one would know it's supposed to be Halo.

It got him interested in the wider lore and games so it’s not that bad. At least the show takes place in another halo universe and not the one in the games. They could’ve done some real damage to established lore.

@@antsonseadoos1287 I recently bought it actually! Just the controller configuration is the issue for playing. I prefer controller over mouse and keyboard if given the option.

@@WarriorHumble24 You can use a corded controller on PC that's what I do. And start with Halo Combat Evolved if possible, the gameplay difficulty is very well paced, introducing new mechanics as the levels continue. You could probably beat it on heroic difficulty no sweat even if you're not that great with controllers.

One of my favorite things about the Halo universe is that the Master Chief, as well as the Spartans, aren't the central factor of this world, they are just soldiers, just like all the rest. The games themselves follow the Master Chief, but I always interpreted it as it being a story of humanity and it's fight for survival.
