You are indeed correct! He was supposed to protect Halo for the prophets to learn from, but because of the chaos in dealing with the flood among his troops, and skirmishes with UNSC survivors/Master chief, he didn't have much ability to prevent it's destruction.

Seen Hidden Xperia's video and even if Halofollower didn't copy Hidden (which could be a lie, but it doesn't matter) Hidden's video is still more informative than follower's and to me I prefer it better than follower's video. Btw I liked Halofollower when I started watching halo but over time more informative and interesting halo channels (like Hidden, Halo canon, Installation00 etc) allowed me to learn more about halo the follower so bye.

Even Hidden xperia had released the video concerning the cover of Shadow of reach, with similar topics, after halo follower but no one attacked him .
