As for LP, her mom was an opera singer, so she picked up some of the opera tricks they use to sing the way they do and mixed it with pop rock vocals. She is gifted with incredible vibrato and amazing breath control. There are times when she literally sounds like a song bird. As for the drummer being boxed off it helps keep the drum sets mics from picking up the other instruments while also keeping the drums from over powering the other instruments. Your welcome.

Great reaction. Love LP. Everything they do is great and when they cover a song it's always way much better than the original. This song along other originals where recorded at EastWest Studios, they were released in an EP in 2012 called "Into The Wild: Live at EastWest Studios". It's a really great album, all the videos from this session are at LP's official KZbin channel.

Great reaction. One of my favorite performers. All cool vibes. I am so glad recognition is hitting more main steam listeners, its been too long just a queer music scene kind of thing. Being an old school alternative homo, I have known of LP for a while. Finally, I got to see LP live last year. It was as cool as this video leads you to believe. Amazing vocals and LPs original lyrics are amazing. Lets talk about control of those lengthy notes, sometimes the mike has to pull back to keep the power from overwhelming audiences. LP concerts are a full mix with such variety of guests - check any prejudices at the door, as they aren't part of the groove. - jp

The song is so absolutely beautiful because very likely (99,7 %) LP did it ! I can easily recognize Her divine talents - wonderful melody and poignant lyrics . It's very similar to e.g. ,,,, Levitator,,, another masterpiece of Her .

LP is a divine singer and songwriter, but they did not write Halo. It was written by Ryan Tedder and Evan Bogart.
