Noble out... There's a pretty sad irony in the way each Noble member died. Jorge said he'd never leave Reach. He died in orbit of the planet. The only one to not die with his feet on the ground. Kat was the brains of Noble team. She died from a headshot. Jun was the scout and stealth expert. He disappeared. Carter was the leader of the group. He "went down with the ship". Emile was a close-quarters expert. He was killed by a sword. And Noble 6 was a lone wolf and died alone. Thank you for playing Meg, I absolutely loved it

Something interesting to note, on the final mission, Lone Wolf: Noble Six is surrounded by dead marines and Spartans and has, canonically, been fighting for hours, perhaps even days. Even when every last human on the planet was gone, Noble Six kept going until it took quite literally the Covenant's equivalent to Noble Team (those Zealots you saw throughout the game) to take just her down. Hyper lethal indeed.

If you use the in game time references then you can see Noble 6 only fought for a few hours. The hyper lethal title was retconned. It was just a throwaway line in one of the trailers. All Spartans are considered hyper lethal.

Fun fact: In the first mission, when you see the Zealot Elite in the cutscene, he nearly stabs you with a wristblade but your character blocks it and Carter then pushes the Elite off of you. In the last mission, the final strike to Noble Six comes from the same Elite type with the same weapon. It's just a small detail that I haven't seen a lot of people mention.

Even better, I'm a little rusty on my Reach lore, but that same Field Marshall (The elite class) from the first mission is the same Field Marshall you fight as you make your way up to the MAC in the Pillar of Autumn. He is also, I believe, the elite that killed Kat.

You probably don't know, but there's an app for Android (it has been taken down and you have to mod it for it to work) but the "Cortana virtual assistant" that was available for windows 10 mobile was ported to android, it was literally Cortana who was helping you very much like Alexa and Siri, she was even capable of impersonating Yoda, answer some questions about John and the normal voice assistant shenanigans.

My favorite part of Reach is when Kat and Noble 6 get on the elevator and Kat says "First glassing? Me too." It's such a well delivered line and you can hear the fear in her voice. It's a reminder that the Spartans are in fact human.

2:03:24 Cortana was created with a scan of Halseys brain. Meaning she was a part of Halsey. I believe it was her love and care for John that imprinted on Cortana.

She was created via flash cloning Halsey brain you can only scan a living brain but afterward the brain is damaged and unrevivable thus is only done to people who have already died and or are in the process of dying

Carter: "Six! That A.I. chose you. She made the right choice." So much meaning behind such a short simple line. Six was initially some random new-blood replacement to a seasoned Noble team that had seen action together for a long time. And yet, Carter not only accepts six as an official member but also to say that Cortana chose the right spartan for such an important task, speaks volumes of growth and trust. Even more so when Carter gives his life for six to complete the mission.

Man the ending still gets me Anybody wants some fries and chicken nuggets after this I am making them Reason why: I remember my little brother telling me he wanted to play halo reach I introduced him to the series and he has overall enjoyed it When he got to halo reach he felt so saddened by the ending he put his face down I asked if he was okay He said yes but I knew he was saddened at what happened so I went downstairs made my bother some fries and chicken nuggets dad comes in and asked you making yourself some lunch I said no it’s for my brother he just played one of the best/sad/hopeful halo story’s ever and after it was all done I went and took his food upstairs to my room(he was hanging out) and I told him eat up Spartan you did good 👍🙂

Six manages to kill the Field Marshall of the Devoted Sentries by the MAC gun, but we see another in her final moments. Being so honour bound, the Sanghelli choosing to engage Six in melee is a clear sign of their wounded pride. They want to restore honour by executing her personally. Just goes to show how important NOBLE team became to the covenant, their deaths were personal after they killed the Commander aboard the Super carrier.

1:46:11 exactly how i felt when i first played Reach on the 360 back in the day but as i replayed it i realized that the game was a story not about Surviving but about holding the Covenant off at the Bastion of Humanity, because that's what Reach was: a Fortress for humanity because if Reach Fell The UNSC knew Earth was next that's also why Halsey had Cortana decrypting the data from the Artifact beneath S.W.O.R.D. base to find a solution to The Covenant's onslaught against Humanity( too bad we found something worse than the covenant in the process)

The likely reason 343i took out the credits to Reach is because it names a lot of people that don't work in 343 anymore. It would probably be a legal issue thing with Bungie if they didn't.

@@dixon137 It's very interesting to see that after enough time has passed, Halo fans are able to relax a bit, take a more fair and objective look at Halo 4, and realize that the story and characters are not as bad as everyone made it out to be when it first launched. Is it the best Halo story wise, no. But it dives into some interesting stuff and goes deeper into characters that we never got before.

@@lilfuzzballa I... recognize the deeper dive that Halo 4 took, however, I feel it was very poorly paced. I feel like they should have done things in a slower pace. The game starts off simple, we only see one hint of Cortana's rampancy while aboard the Dawn and no one draws attention to it. Then when we crash, it happens again and Cortana blames the crash and we continue on through the campaign with a regular Halo story. Blood, guts, fighting through waves to free the Infinity from the gravity well and then when the gravity. At the same time, we slowly develop that something is wrong with Cortana and then she bursts on the bridge like she does in the game. And that's when we have the tone shift. That's when Chief starts to open up more. That's when we turn into a deeper story between Chief and Cortana.

Fun fact, Master Chief was taking part in the fighting in Reach, and that's when he first met Cortana too, but then he was placed into cryo-sleep and sent into the Pillar of Autumn, this happens right before you receive Cortana in the game. You can also see Master Chief in the cryo pod on the Legendary difficulty ending.

The Chiefs luck is a gamechanger for example, if Jorge was luckier the timer wouldn't have been fried, the thruster would be intact on the pelican, the door to the fighters wouldn't be blocked, etc. The rest could be said for the others who died in this, if they were luckier they'd be alive right now.

Every once in awhile i go back to watch the teaser trailer for Reach. The final line hits harder after the game. "This is Sierra Two-Five-Nine. You've got Spartans on the ground, sir. We're not going anywhere."

Emile has a rare line about his brother giving his life to protect him from the covenant, and how he hs to repay that debt. He fights for vengeance, even now years later. He's devoted his life to it, and that's why he accepts his spot on the gun and is "ready" when he's stabbed. He's been expecting his death ever since he was saved, and even if he's feared it at times and covered it with jokes, he's not ready until he tells Six to get off the planet.

Always love your perspectives on Halo, both Halo Wars 1 and 2 are definitely different for sure, the cinematics for scenes are absolutely remarkable and those games show a brilliant new side of characters and story. I think you will enjoy it for it's story and characters not sure you'll like the gameplay but when it comes to strategy games it's pretty straightforward thank god so I don't think you'll have a tough time with it.
