Halo Reach | Survive [UNFINISHED]

Unfinished animation of Noble Six surviving in his cave. All the files were on my old machine and are lost so I am uploading this now. I would have liked to add natural animation to the cameras and made the animation more fluid/fast in some areas. Maybe next time

In an alternate universe, Noble Six survived the Fall of Reach. He had been killing the Covenant stationed on the planet and collecting the helmets of his fallen teammates. Whether or not he would reunite with Jun-A266 and make a new Noble team with him and Rosanda, only time would tell.

Yeah but only them unfortunately. If six survived the last mission than he likely starved as no one returned to reach for a good long time after that. I personally think his cannon death was more satisfying than the alternative. This is still a cool animation though.

I CANNOT wait to see the full version! Just one small thing- I would love to see, like in Halo: Legends, the reflexes of the Spartan utilized to their full. I believe it was Cal-141 who went solo vs a Brute, and simply running up to and punching him in the gut was seen in slow motion to illustrate the sheer speed of reflexes that Spartan-II’s have. Seeing as Six is a (essentially) CAT2, his movements in combat should be short of a blur. Again, I know this is unfinished, but that sequence has amazing potential to demonstrate what a hyper-lethal vector Six actually is. I absolutely LOVE the graphics, too. Those renders are gorgeous! Can’t wait to see the full release!

Six could be the new face of Halo. He defines so much. With one glance in your general direction he could convey more than most of paramount's writers could with 2 seasons of screen time Fr man. And his character could do some real justice to not just the spartan III's but Spartans in general. Six was alone, its how he worked best. Was only assigned to a squad because the circumstances called for it. His specialty no longer served the greater hopes for humanity. He stepped up to the task without question, soldier or not that takes commitment Maybe he hated working with others, or just preferred his own company, maybe he was afraid of losing another friend. Maybe he has regrets for not standing up to his superiors before they blindly sent 300 of his brothers and sisters to their deaths without him. And maybe thats what made six who he is But its not just all that- its the fact that noble team reminded six of whats important. Victory or success doesnt matter if you cant save anybody. Noble team gave him something to try and save. And he remembered what it was like to care for people, or at least he remembered that he should try

This is how the TV show should have been done, I've always said they should get ideas from the fan fare people. Get a group of them to throw around ideas instead of people that don't know the lore. The TV show could sound off on six being alive and/or Master Chief resurgence

Couple things The concept is truly awesome, I’ve always thought it’d be interesting to play as Noble 6 trying to slowly retake reach. A concept for a game like that would be amazing. There’d be dramatic moments where Noble 6 would rediscover his lost friends in the battle, he could quest about trying to find survivors in a free roam, and killing any covenant he came across. Covenant that were either rogue or unaware the end of the war. He could later have a run in with the arbiter who comes to investigate rumours of a lone survivor and they’d fight, until Jun stops it. There’d be touching moment as they sat in the top of the destroyed new Alexandria tower. Jun would try to get noble 6 to open up unaware that during 6’s last stand his throat was wounded in his last scuffle so he could no longer talk (to keep the quiet noble canon) Then 6 would find a new role training newer Spartans to survive and he’d meet the chief. Ok maybe I’m over fantasizing but the other thing is how hilarious it is that this may have brought back the forklift fanatics

Honestly really good and ambitious, though it needs a touch more sound effects, the animations could be a bit more "bouncy" or exaggerated like a toned down version of Disney animators work, and id recommend using the original reach models as they fit in better with the lower poly reach assets ur using, all in all though a fantastic animation and story and I cant wait to see where you take it!

@DOOMMan Tips for camera effects: Sometimes Lower the FOV and adjust it to make it look like it's a zoomed camera from far away, pointed to the main target, (Nobel 6, elites, enemies, etc.) then zoom out, showing the environment or battle scene. (Sometimes, it's probably better if it doesn't zoom back out, like if a Spartan is in a battle where you would want to see all the details) And don't forget about a realistic Shakey camera. This adds a more cinematic effect to the video and can help the viewer relate and feel inside of the environment. It also works very well with transitions between different environments. (Hope this helps!)
