Fun fact, elites often saw humans as equal warriors to themselves. Some even wanted them to join the covenant, and didn't know why the covenant wanted us gone. If ELITES saw humans as equals, considering sangheili puts warriors high in their culture, then that really says something lol. A lot of elites genuinely respected humanity

Im a bit of a lore junkie, so I like to connect these songs with the feelings of Humanity at that time of the Halo Universe. Outnumbered, outgunned, outclassed etc, but still just unleashing absolutel carnage on the Covenant. Tip of the Spear: Ginormous human offensive, showing the Covenant that man too can destroy. Bloe Me Away: The willingness of Humanity to fight fight fight. Genesong: Extraordinary human stubbornness to not die.

Something I love about Halo is how unapologetically pro human it is. Other sci fi universe try to make you symphatize with the aliens but Halo makes you proud to be part of the homo sapien species

I don't remember if I read this in the original Halo 1 Game manual or in one of the earlier Halo Books, but it was stated that humanity won most ground battles against the Covenant, but that these costly victories were made insignificant when the Covenant blasted the Navy to shreds and began glassing the planets one by one.

Covenant on all sides, gunfire from every conceivable direction, UNSC soldiers unwilling to die without fighting, only thing keeping them alive being sheer will power and the gun in their hands. These soldiers are doing what they believe is right and fighting for those they love, for the world they came from, for humanity. “If god is love then you can call me cupid”.
