The mods been pretty updated since you played it, flood has been optimized so you can only build pure forms till you get a proto gravemind, jackal leader god replaced with the grunt rebellion, and a bunch of custom units got added to everyone Also the flood can build anything anywhere pretty much, as broken as that sounds the flood are actually pretty balanced now starting off pretty weak but can quickly become powerful if you spam resource stuff early

Honestly if Flood were added they'd make Rush the front most part of the meta, unless they made early defense way stronger for the other factions a flood player could begin moving out before they'd be able to build a decent defensive force

I wish that you could play as the Flood in Halo Wars 2, they should’ve been a leader option, that would be sick. Obviously should be very carefully balanced though, so their not OP. But they have so many cool unit options. Wasted potential. The leader could just be called “Gravemind”.

The Arbiter of halo wars was named Ripa Morem'ee, the Chieftain was named Maccubeus. Those were answered within Cannon between the releases of ODST and Reach.

Nope the HW1 chieftain was nicknamed Thrallslayer and about 2 years ago with the release of the Encyclopedia was confirmed to be named Avitus. Maccabaeus was Tartarus’ uncle and died well before the events of HW1

Best UNSC units for killing flood are gauss hogs. They’re fast, do a lot of damage, and are cheap. Do chances are you will be at full cap and have all your troops where you want in record time.

To answer your question at 10:30, they probably didn’t add this as a playable faction because they added it in some maps as a rebel/rogue AI faction for bases similar to that of insurrectionists/rebels.

Yep, i imagine what a piece of shit fight that little shitty scarab with the flood, man, i lost SO MANY TIMES because he would just randomly shoot laser in my base, 3 times in a roll, and if he see one of my unit, INSTEAD OF JUST AIM TO THEM HE WOULD JUST TURN TO MY BASE AND DESTROY IT, i had to Remake that mission 15 times, While i never lost other stages, even that flood mission, that shit that took me almost 30 minutes to get ready enought to destroy the first "outpost" just to reach the spartans

If you didn’t fined out at 3:55 the Enemy won’t have tech upgraded yet so when your flood infects one it will have all the tech they have and the stuff they didn’t tech up yet I think I could be wrong but that’s about what it sounds like

The maps are crap compared to halo 1 the areas for infantry to take cover in out of the way useless spots. Activable Barrers are almost gone, no special buildings like the cannon and remember the halo 1 map where you can release the flood gone. 3 out of 10
