Haloview BT7 RV Backup Camera - WORTH IT???

I have a brand new 2023 Imagine XLS TT and yes I need to do some work on it!! My screen hits the top closing edge of the door frame, Also a side panel by my fridge has cme loos at the intersection to the uotside wall so I will have to nail it myself. And one of the reading lights over the bed just shorted out and started flashinf off and on 2 2:30 one night. I had to take it off the wall and cut one of the wires to get it to stop. Grand Design did send me a replacement anf I installed it and all is good so far. I too turn off my water when I am leaving my TT for any length of time. Great tip, since I had a toilet valve leak one time when I was there and was able to catch it befor to much water leaked out. I also will go inside and open a faucet to releave the system pressure. I usually always turn off the water heater when we don't need hot water anyway. Question, My new TT has the same prewired for a backup camera and I too think it is verrry expensive. To mount your Haloview camera were you able to use any of the existing mounting holes?

The mounting holes for the prewired housing did fir the new mount. All i had to do is clean the sealant off the side wall of the TT and reseal the new one. NO new drilled holes. Made my day to say the least.

I love my BT7. It is leaps and bounds better than the previous model I had, which I was also happy with. lol

This newer model than my previous one. the picture quality is far better as is the installation. The update to the holding bracket is definitely an improvement over the older model I had. Using it on back of 30 tyravel trailer with no glitchy movement while driving. Definitely recommend.

How did you mount the display to your dash?

I used the sticky pad. I have an older truck with a dash pad. I didn’t mind sticking it to the dash because I could remove the dash cover if I ever wanted to get rid of it.
