Genuinely angry but also almost in tears hearing the frustration in her voice while talking about how female artists are criticised for choosing family or career, as if they are mutually exclusive. Zane is the one person who has consistently been respectful to her and he lets her lead the conversation how she wants to instead of being a controlling interviewer which is all we know in journalism nowadays so in a way Halsey constantly being disruptive is similar to what he’s doing with his journalism because he doesn’t do this with the thought of gossiping

I am always impressed by Zane Lowe's interviews. And he listens to the artist's music and you can tell he really digs deep into their music with his interview questions. He is one of my favorite interviewers.
@strawwberryyy3 жыл бұрын
@@bradybunch4278 exactly, I sometimes feel like Zane has a need to really underline how much he thinks he "gets" what the artist was trying to say and then make the artist agree with him even though that might not really be what they intended. also especially when interviewing women and poc it can come across like he's trying to prove how much he "gets" these social issues that affect their lives when like... it was never about him and it feels like he's trying to put the spotlight on his own "wokeness" instead of deeply discussing the actual issues that he/the artist is bringing to the table.

@@bradybunch4278 it’s not really a junket tho so there’s room for clarification if the artist is not being understood. And that has happened with Zane, a few times. Honestly, I had no idea who Halsey was this time last year. I was only curious when I heard NIN was producing, but didn't have high expectations because I like my music on the heavy side and don't typically listen to pop. That being said, this is without a doubt the best album I've heard in a long time. I listened to it about a dozen times over the weekend and still not bored. Halsey's songwriting is spectacular and the vocals blend perfectly with Trent's sullen, eerie production style. Fantastic job 👏 I'd put money on it being album of the year.

So proud of all them for taking risks and making such beautiful works of art. Very well done!👏❤️️

I'm a 39 year old women so I'm kinda stuck in the 90s early 2000 music so while I've heard of halsey on the radio here or there I've never really given a whole album a listen until I read about her doing an album with Trent Reznor. when it came out I didn't jump to grab it or anything but I did in time end up grabbing it and I was floored! this album is absolutely amazing! a fucking masterpiece!! hands down one of my favorite all time albums. the music is so emotional and haunting it gives you goosebumps while her lyrics resonate with so many emotions as a women. thank you Halsey for pouring your heart and soul out for all to feel and see.

Idk of any interviewer that loves and cares about music and the people who make the music more then Zane! It’s hard to watch other interviews after watching him. Love him! And Halsey, of course! She’s come such a long way and it’s just cool and so inspirational to see her happy and comfortable with herself. &Not just comfortable, but proud of herself! A true role model. Also, her new album is soooooo freaking GOOD!!!!!

This album was insane. Ever since Manic I have been experiencing your music so differently. You were born a day after me and I relate to you so freaking much its insane. Also Easier than Lying and Whispers are insane, the whole sound of this album made me have goosebumps all throughout listening to it.

I love listening to her. There is something very calming about her current demeanor. I'm at a moment in my life where I want to have a child, but am dealing with health issues that prevent me from doing so. Listening to her is like somebody telling me, that everything is going to be okay.
