I watched the video (Nightmare) several weeks ago for the first time and had to rewind to make sure it was Debbie I saw, as I was so immersed in the rest of the video’s imagery. I thought it was so cool! I grew up listening to Blondie. 😊

Halsey’s debut album Badlands is a lyrical masterpiece! And her room 93 ep is also gorgeous it has stripped down versions of some of the badlands songs as well as some new ones

Halsey has blended genres on both her albums, to quote one of her songs she “grew up on Biggie and Nirvana” so there’s always been a blend of interests for Halsey’s music, but this is probably the most blended imo. Other songs to check out by Halsey? I have a few album tracks but as you watch music videos more so, maybe Ghost and Colour from the first album and Bad At Love for the second album

I really love Halsey. I'm a swiftie but halsey is another artist I really love. If you watch documentaries before she was famous, she had a rocky life. Her father is African American/white and her mother Italian, Irish etc. What I'm saying is she's an important artist as well in the music industry in my opinion. She started off writing songs at 17 and uploaded them online. The one that went most viral was "Haley song" a I knew you were trouble Taylor swift song about Taylor and Harry styles. She also sang RED by Taylor. So Taylor has also been an influence when it comes to song writing. Her music is really interesting. It's storyline based, each video. The lyrics are deep. Her voice is really nice. She has been very open about having bipolar. This new album coming up is called MANIC. Because apparently she's been in her manic stage and wrote it as "Ashley" not as "halsey". The character she's written her songs on. "Without me" apparently was Ashley. That's her real name. The name Halsey has a story..... She's a really interesting artist...

Halsey has always been an outspoken fan of rock bands. Her own songs are different from what you've heard and even of this song...for better or for worse. Please listen to her albums! They're at least good and worth the time...worst case they'll make you go hmm lol, best case you'll get a handful of new faves! I prefer her first (Badlands) to her second (Hopeless Fountain Kingdom) and her third is coming out soon!!! It'll include Nightmare. I believe it's called Graveyard? I'm stoked; she's a very talented songwriter! (If not the most talented singer. But even she acknowledges that and many bad singers have been very successful so I respect that.)
