Finally an interview where Halsey get to talk about her music and kinda lead the conversation herself into sticking to that and her as a person and musician. Really enjoyed this interview bc of that. This is what we as fans actually want to know and hear about. Not the irrelevant, gossip, private stuff that is none of anyone's business anyway lol. Looking forward to Halsey's new album. The part about feeling butterflies tho, that's really just anxiety and red flags for sure, depending on the situation.

Zach sang show she went twice. Back then she seemed mature and happy. These interviews won me over. Now i sense some lack of clarity, maybe bitterness of the constant dealing with industry politica focusing on extrinsic vanity metrics that made her lose herself or her energy. Or maybe its a longterm side effect of the ‘’social justice’’ hipster mind virus destroying people from the inside. or some behind the scene current unfulfilling relationship or substance use. She went through a lot it’s always so inspiring to see her having so much reflection a few years back and having made inner peace with a terrible past and being very grounded.

I love how this feels like a conversation between two people rather than a contrived interview where the interviewer just goes "okay," to every answer to get to the next question. Lucy actually conjured up questions from things Halsey mentions in her answers. That's great. Shows she's actually listening.

Introspection is so attractive. An artists ability to listen to themselves, then translate that into something that can affect a lot of people, is a wonder. Halsey is phenomenal at expressionism and I’m grateful that she is who she is. 😁

let's set the record straight about the buttterflies thing: there's a difference between butterflies and anxiety. what my girl is talking about here is anxiety (dependency, approval, manipulation, etc). but that doesn't mean all anticipation is bad. i think anticipation, excitement, surprises, adventure, challenging each other and exploring new things are healthy. and of course pushing your boundaries and expanding your comfort zone (within limits obviously) can make you nervous at times but that's necessary for growth, and the rejection of those things leads to stagnation. im all about pushing myself and trying new things, so im pretty extreme in that sense. but ultimately i think it's most important to be around people who are near your level of expansion: enough to grow but not so much that it's traumatic.

If the fans didnt fall in love with your music and get your songs to be big hits, then the critics wouldn’t even have anything to judge It’s allll about the fans. Critics are gross entitled people who feel it’s their job to give the greater opinion on something.
